The Chhattisgarh Economic Offence Wing/Anti Corruption Bureau (EOW/ACB) have revealed that they conducted raids at 29 separate locations in connection to the Mahadev Betting App investigation. The investigation was launched in March this year. The EOW/ACB revealed in a statement that 18 sites in Durg district, seven in Raipur, two in Balodabazar, and one each in Raigarh and Kanker as part of the ongoing probe.
The authorities seized electronic devices, bank-related documents, Hawala slips, assets-related papers, and other suc documents which could be related to the Mahadev Betting App case.

Actor Sahil Khan, who had been questioned by the Mumbai Police’s crime branch was declared absconding after a team from the Crime Branch visited Khan’s residence on Friday without any luck and he was declared missing. After multiple attempts to locate him, he was declared absconding. On 28th April, Sahil Khan was brought to Mumbai from Chhattisgarh and was arrested by the Mumbai crime branch’s SIT in connection to the Mahadev Betting App case. In response to this the actor said “I believe in the judiciary of the country”.
Two offenders were apprehended by the Special Task Force (STF). One of them seemed to be the mastermind behind the entire operation who also happens to be the cousin of a company’s India head. Both the accused were actively engaged in sending SIM cards from India to Dubai. They have been identified as Abhay Singh and Sanjeev Singh. They created fictitious companies to acquire corporate sim cards totalling over 4,000.
The former Chief Minister (CM) of Chhattisgarh and Congress Party’s Lok Sabha candidate from Rajnandgaon, Bhupesh Baghel, as been identified as the main beneficiary in the ₹5,500 Crore Mahadev Betting App case. This information comes from a First Incident Report (FIR) filed against 20 individuals last month by the Raipur Economic Offences Wing (EOW).

Bollywood actor Sahil Khan has been summoned by the Mumbai Police to provide a statement regarding his involvement in the Mahadev Betting App case. He had also been summoned by Mumbai cyber cell’s Special Investigating Team (SIT) earlier an was set to appear before SIT in December for questioning but he failed to appear.
Despite an ongoing investigation into Mahadev App scam, they are still currently distributing IDs through websites, mobile apps, and social media channels. Bookies are reportedly distributing branches at rates of ₹25 Lakh each. The fee was ₹10 Lakh last year but it has jumped up to ₹25 Lakh.
ED’s investigation into Mahadev Online Book has revealed that multiple dummy accounts had been set up by the perpetrators. False bank entries were used to invest ₹1,100 Crore in the Indian stock market. ED has decided to freeze these shares till the investigation concludes. They have frozen market shares of around ₹1,100 Crore held in the demat accounts which are linked to the prime accused in the Mahadev app scam case.
