Kulwant Khejroliya made his debut for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The Rajasthan-born left-arm pacer shined for his side in his first outing of the ongoing seasonn and has caught the eye of quite a few cricket enthusiasts.  Lets’ look at his Kulwant Khejroliya career history and what to expect off the star in the future. 

Kulwant Khejroliya Career

Kulwant Khejroliya started off his career in the Indian domestic circuit when he made his Ranji Trophy debut for Delhi in the 2017-18 season. He picked up 17 wickets from 8 matches to finish as the leading wicket-taker for his team, while impressing everyone.

He continued to come up with solid performances as the the 2019-20 season saw him shine with the ball once gain during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He was leading wicket-taker for Delhi once again, picking up 14 wickets from 8 matches. His ability of bowling yorkers and strangling batters for runs at the death overs makes him an undeniable asset for T20 cricket. Citing his amazing performance in domestic cricket, Kulwant Khejroliya got an opportunity to play in the Indian Premier League.

Kulwant Khejroliya IPL 

Kulwant Khejroliya got an opportunity in the IPL 2018 when he earned him a spot in the Mumbai Indians squad. He ended up playing 2 matches for the team that season and picked up 4 wickets while registering an impressive economy rate of 6.76. Despite a decent outing, MI opted against retaining him for the next season.

He did not feature in the India’s franchise based T20 competition for quite a while before becoming a part of the tournament once again during IPL 2023. The Kolkata Knight Riders decided to acquire his services and and paid 20 Lakh for him during the IPL 2023 auction. 

The left-arm pace bowler shined for Kolkata Knight Riders when he played against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. After making an impressive start to life with KKR, the pacer now has the chance to display his talent and showcase his skills in IPL 2023.

Kulwant Khejroliya is also a strong reliable fielder, with a strong throwing arm. Despite not playing much in the Indian Premier League,  his consistent performances at the domestic cricket has given a glimpse of his potential.
