With players like Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, and Mohamed Salah in the league, it is no shock that the Premier League has a very large wage bill. This is a list that talks about some of the highest-paid players in the Premier League and their contracts at their respective clubs.

Bernardo Silva’s current contract with Manchester City runs till 2026. This contract sees Silva earning ₤300,000/Week. The Portuguese player was linked heavily with both Barcelona as well as Paris Saint-Germain before he signed the new contract. Enzo Fernandez impressed the entire world with his performances in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. After the FIFA World Cup, it was Chelsea who decided to sign Fernandez. Chelsea paid a hefty fee of ₤107 Million to Benfica to bring Argentina international to the English Premier League. They gave him an eight-year contract which will keep him at the club till 2031.

Chelsea also has an option to extend his contract by one more year, keeping Fernandez at the club till 2032. To convince Enzo Fernandez to sign such a long contract, Chelsea decided to offer him a massive ₤315,000/Week contract.

Raheem Sterling is the third and final English player on this list. Sterling moved from Manchester City to Chelsea in 2022. Sterling was unhappy with his limited playing time at Manchester City and decided to offer his talents to another club in the English Premier League. Chelsea offered him a five-year contract which will keep the English star at the club till 2027. During his time at Chelsea, the ex-Manchester City star will earn a weekly salary of ₤325,000/Week.

5. Raphael Varane (£340,000/Week)

Raphael Varane’s contract with Manchester United is set to expire in June 2024. The club had an option to extend his contract till 2025 but due to his high salary, they chose not to do so. Varane currently earns ₤340,000/Week at Manchester United. The club wants to renegotiate these terms before offering the French star a new contract. The club believes that ₤340,000/Week is too high a salary for Varane and will only offer the Frenchman a new contract if he accepts a reduced salary. Raphael Varane could end up leaving the English Premier League if an agreement is not reached upon soon.

Casemiro’s contract at Manchester United runs till June 2026. The club also has an option to extend his contract by another year. The Brazilian is the last Manchester United player on this list. His current deal at the club sees him make ₤350,000/Week. There are only two players in the Premier League who have a higher salary than Casemiro.

3. Mohamed Salah (£350,000/Week)

Mohamed Salah is the first and last Liverpool player on this list. Liverpool is notoriously known for not giving their players extremely high salaries. Salah is the only exception to this. The Egyptian’s current contract runs till 2025. This contract includes a salary of ₤350,000/Week. This makes Mohamed Salah the highest-paid player in Liverpool’s history and one of the highest paid players in the English Premier League.
