IND-W vs AUS-W Match Update: Indian Women’s Dominated The Day-Night Test Against Australia: The Indian women’s team displayed a stellar performance to dominate Australia in the day-night Test, which ended in a draw mainly due to bad weather on the first two days.
Australia started playing at 143 for three. An 89-run stand between Ellyse Perry (68 not out) and Ashleigh Gardner (51) led the Indian fast bowlers to begin the collapse of Australia’s batting line-up, taking it from 208 for four to 241 for nine. delivered.
Then Australian captain Meg Lanning made an interesting decision to declare the first innings. The Indian team, which declared innings at 377 in the first innings, played 37 overs in the second innings and then declared the innings at 135 for three after tea and set Australia a target of 272 runs in 32 overs to win. Shefali Verma made 52 off 91 balls while Poonam Raut remained unbeaten on 41 off 62 balls.
This was an impossible target and Australia cheaply lost the wickets of Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney early in the second innings. When the captains of both the teams joined hands for a draw, Australia were 36 for two in 15 overs.
According to the rules of the series of multiple formats, both the teams got two points each. The score of the series was 6-4 in favour of Australia. Above 80 overs of play was spoiled due to rain on the first two days, with the result being a draw in the four-day match.

Smriti Mandhana laid the foundation for India’s big score with a memorable century on the second day after the fast bowlers’ trio of Jhulan Goswami, Meghna Singh and Pooja Vastrakar put the Australian batsmen under pressure.
It would be fair to say that the Indian fast bowlers bowled better than the Australian players. Debutant Meghna impressed everyone with her swing bowling and Jhulan Goswami, on the other side also bowled aggressively as ever and showed that age is just a number.
Meghna took her first Test wicket with a beautiful out-swing ball in the form of Annabel Sutherland who was caught by wicketkeeper Tania Bhatia. Her second wicket was that of Sophie Molineaux, who became the victim of her Finswinger.
Pooja Vastrakar got Georgia Wareham caught behind the wicket. Off-spinner Deepti Sharma took her second wicket of the day in the form of Darcy Brown.
