Will India Change Their Playing XI For The 3rd T20I Against WI?

West Indies and India are set to lock horns once again after squaring off against each other just 24 hours earlier in the second T20. Both teams will square off in the 3rd T20I of their ongoing 5-match series at the Warner Park Basseterre, St Kitts on Tuesday, August 2.

India registered a massive 68-run win over West Indies in the series opener after whitewashing the hosts by a 3-0 margin in the ODIs. However, the Caribbean outfit managed to bounce back in the second T20 and showed great intent to end up winning the final-over thriller by 5 wickets.

With the series level at 1-1, both teams will be eager to gather some positive momentum as they end the Caribbean leg of the tour. India will be focused on bouncing back on the winning ways, while the hosts will look to take a series lead by pocketing yet another win.

India’s Probable Playing XI for 3rd T20I

The visitors could look to make a couple of changes in the team to get back on the right track after suffering a narrow loss in the last clash. The use of Surya Kumar Yadav as an opener has not worked for India which could see Ishan Kishan walk into the team. Rahul Dravid and co could also look to bring back Deepak Hooda in the starting XI for the 3rd game.

Shreyas Iyer is expected to make way for Hooda as the all-rounder has fared well in the limited opportunities he has gotten so far. Despite failing to defend the total in the last game, Avesh Khan is expected to retain a spot in the team with Harshal Patel ruled out due to a rib injury.

Probable XI- Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan/ Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan

West Indies, on the other hand, will not look to make any changes in their winning combination and stick to the same playing XI that featured in the 2nd T20I on Monday. The likes of Brandon King and Obed McCoy shone for the hosts and will look to assert their dominance over India once again on Tuesday.

Probable XI- Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran (c), Shimron Hetmyer, Devon Thomas (wk), Rovman Powell, Odean Smith, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Obed McCoy
