Erling Haaland made his return from injury in Manchester City’s latest Premier League game. The Norwegian star came on in the 71st minute against Burnley. No introductions are needed for Haaland at all. Everyone knows he is a goal-scoring machine and now that he is fit again, he is back to being the obvious captaincy choice. Manchester City faces Brentford in Gameweek 23 and this could serve as the perfect comeback game for the Manchester City striker.

Cole Palmer

Cole Palmer can turn out to be a very good captain pick for Gameweek 23. Palmer’s Chelsea plays against Wolves in Gameweek 23. Wolves conceded four goals against Manchester United in their latest Premier League game. They looked shaky and open at the back and this might give Palmer a chance to haul against Wolves. The English star has also been in some very hot for. Palmer has three goals and one assist in his last three Premier League games. If you do not want to go with an obvious choice like Erling Haaland, Palmer is an option that can be used.

James Maddison has recently returned from a long injury. The English star was performing week in and week out before getting injured. Maddison played his first Premier League since Gameweek 12 last week and assisted in his first game back. The ex-Leicester City player looks to be raring to go on a run of form again. Spurs play Everton in Gameweek 23 which is a relatively easy fixture which is why James Maddison is a good captaincy pick in the Fantasy Premier League for Gameweek 23.

Ollie Watkins

Ollie Watkins has 10 goals and 11 assists in the Fantasy Premier League this season. While his form has dropped a little in recent times, he plays against Sheffield United in Gameweek 23. The Blades currently sit at the rock bottom of the Premier League. This game will serve as the perfect game for both Aston Villa and Ollie Watkins to regain their form. Villa will be ready to bounce back after their loss against Newcastle United. A good return from Ollie Watkins can be expected in Gameweek 23.

Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne is almost always a good captaincy pick. With Erling Haaland back in action, the Belgian midfielder becomes even more lucrative. Haaland and De Bruyne have a very solid partnership and with both returning from injuries, we can expect quite a lot of goals. The Manchester City midfielder has looked solid ever since he returned to fitness and will hope to carry this form into Gameweek 23 against Brentford.

Hojlund now has two goals and two assists in his last two Premier League games. The Danish star finally seems to have caught some form at Manchester United. While he has performed in back-to-back weeks, he is still owned by just 4% of Fantasy Premier League team owners. This makes him a very good differential for Gameweek 23.

Timo Werner is owned by less than 1% of Fantasy Premier League team owners. The German forward has yet to blank since making his debut in the Premier League. Werner has provided an assist in both the Premier League games he has played. The return of James Maddison from injury will also serve as a boost for the Spurs striker. Tottenham Hotspur play Everton in Gameweek 23 and it won’t come as a shock if Werner ends up hauling against Everton.

Christopher Nkunku has struggled with injuries since joining Chelsea. He finally seems to have recovered from his injuries. If Nkunku can remain fit, he will serve to be a very dangerous attacker for Chelsea and a very good pick in the Fantasy Premier League. The Blues will face Wolves in Gameweek 23. Having conceded four goals in their last Premier League game against Manchester United, it is safe to say Wolves defense does not look settled. Nkunku can take advantage of this and come back from his injury with a bang.

Pedro Neto (2.0% Ownership)

Pedro Neto is another player who was out with an injury until recently. The Portuguese international returned to the starting lineup on 23rd January 2024 against Brighton. Pedro Neto is Wolves’ main player while going forward. Almost every attack seems to go through Neto. Wolves have been playing very well recently and the Portuguese forward will be a welcome addition to their lineup. Neto will hope to penetrate Chelsea’s defense in Gameweek 23 and try and help Wolves get the win against The Blues.

Destiny Udogie is having a phenomenal season at Tottenham. He made his debut at the club this season itself but has already cemented himself in the starting lineup. Just like Pedro Porro on the other wing, Udogie loves attacking from the wings and is heavily involved in Tottenham’s attacks. He is owned by just 9.7% of Fantasy Premier League team owners. The Italian defender can turn out to be a very good differential, especially if you do not already own Pedro Porro.
