Tokyo Paralympics 2020: Team India’s Schedule, Telecast, Live Streaming Updates & More: The Tokyo Paralympics 2020 was delayed because of the COVID-19 outbreak. The Tokyo Paralympic 2020 Games are scheduled to be held again in Tokyo after 57 years. Japan has created history after hosting back-to-back Olympics events. Japan is the first nation to host the Olympics event twice a year. The Indian Paralympic team performed great in the last Olympics in Rio, Brazil. India won four medals, including two gold medals.

Currently, India has dispatched a delegation of 54 people (40 men and 14 women) to the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. The athletes will take part in 46 events. Thangavelu, who won the prestigious Khel Ratna Award for his heroic achievements in Rio, was expected to be the flag bearer of India at the opening ceremony. But the flag was carried by the javelin thrower Tek Chand.
