Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batter, made his first social media appearance since a horrific car accident on Monday. On his official Twitter account, the 25-year-old shared a photo of two boys and thanked them for saving his life after the car accident.
Pant was on his way to Roorkee when his luxury car crashed into a road divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on January 30 and burst into flames. Pant had a close call when he was pulled from the wrecked vehicle, but he suffered multiple injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Pant tweeted on Monday that his surgery went well and that he was recovering well. The Indian cricketer also posted a photo of two boys named Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar on Instagram. Pant referred to them as heroes and stated that he will be eternally grateful to both of them.

As per news reports, Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant was severely injured in an accident. Media reports state that Pant’s car collided against the dividers at the Delhi-Dehradun highway. As per a news report by Hindustan Times, the Indian cricketer is stable and is undergoing treatment for injuries on his head, back and feet.
As per a tweet by ANI, Pant while travelling in his Mercedes met with an accident between Manglaur and Narsan in Haridwar district. The cricketer has been reportedly shifted to Max Hospital Dehradun after receiving primary treatment at Roorkee Civil Hospital, Uttarakhand. ANI reported SP Dehat Swapan Kishore stating that Pant met with a road accident at the NH-58 of Manglaur PS area.

As per a news report by Dainik Jagran, Pant’s car caught fire after ramming into the divider. The police and locals reached the accident spot and a fire truck was called at the site to douse the fire. According to news reports, the Indian cricketer was initially hospitalized at the Saksham Hospital close to the highway before he was shifted to another hospital located in Dehradun.
A news report by NDTV states that Pant was driving the car and was alone at the time of the accident. The news report further quotes Ashok Kumar, Uttarakhand Director General of Police stating that the 25-year-old cricketer lost control after falling asleep at the wheel. Pant reportedly broke the car’s window to escape after his car caught fire.
