New Zealand cricket has announced their schedule for the 2022-23 home season. They are hosting five teams on home turf between October and April. One of the key few highlights of this home series is a day-night Test match against England.
The Black Caps will take on the Three Lions in a day-night Test match in Mount Maungnui after squaring off against India in two-format limited overs series at home. They are all set to also play white-ball series at home against teams like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka over the next 10 months.

Kane Williamson’s men take on the likes of Pakistan and Bangladesh in a T20I tri series at home. The tournament is scheduled to take place in the first half of October. All the matches are scheduled to be played in Christchurch from October 7-14 as they gear up the preparations for the highly anticipated ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
Following the World Cup, New Zealand will play hosts to India with the Men in Blue scheduled to play three T20I and three ODIs. The limited overs series will be played between November 18-30. The men’s team is later scheduled to be on tours of Pakistan and India in December and January before they return home for the summer.

The Kiwis get a chance to settle scores against England, who arrive on their coast for two Test matches in February. The first Test will be under lights in Mount Maunganui and will be the Test match under flood lights in the country since the Auckland Test in 2018 which was also against England.
Following the Two Test matches, New Zealand finish off their home season with lengthy tour against Sri Lanka. The islandic nation is set to begin in March and go on all the way through till April. The Lankans start off their tour with 2 Tests before playing 3 ODI’s & 3 T20I’s against the Kiwis.

NZC chief executive David White shared how the upcoming home season is very exciting for both the men’s as well as the women’s teams. He said, “To have India, England and Sri Lanka touring here, on top of visits from Pakistan and Bangladesh, means cricket fans can look forward to a summer of top-quality cricket.” White also went to confirm that the ticket prices for all the men’s and women’s games would remain be discounted, just like last year.
