Mumbai Indians ended the Lucknow Super Giants’ winning streak today. When MI’s strongest batsman lost their wicket, speculation circulated on social media that Lucknow would win their fourth game in a row against MI.

But, as the saying goes, nothing is guaranteed in cricket! And MI’s star batters Cameroon, Yadav, and Tilak Verma amply demonstrated this. In the second innings, Mayers was seen hammering out the balls powerfully, but a string of wickets came in and choked out Lucknow’s good start.

Stoinis came close to saving the team from losing early, but he faced a run-out. It was the pivotal moment that confirmed MI’s victory over the Giants. Now, MI will face Gujarat Titans in the Qualifier 2 match, which is set for 26th May 2023, at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
