Lionel Messi is valued at $600 Million in 2024. He has achieved such a high net worth due to his high salary throughout his career. Messi has had some ludicrous contracts over the years. His final contract at Barcelona was mind-blowing. He reportedly signed a four-year contract with Barcelona in 2017 worth $650 Million. The contract included a base salary of $161 Million per season along with a one-time $135 Million signing bonus and an additional $91 Million loyalty bonus.
Messi transferred from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021. Although he left FC Barcelona, his ridiculous contract demands were met by PSG. Messi was reportedly given a massive $30 Million signing bonus. The Argentine also received a cut of both his image and merchandise rights. Combining this with his wages, the ex-Barcelona player was taking home approximately $75 Million per year. This meant a weekly salary worth roughly $1.44 Million per week.
By the time his contract ends in June, Lionel Messi will have earned over €555 million from the Barcelona deal he signed in 2017, according to El Mundo 🤑

The Argentina star has an even more complicated contract with his current club Inter Miami. His contract includes a base salary of $12 Million per year and a total guaranteed compensation of $20,446,667. Along with this Messi was also offered equity in the team as well as a signing bonus. His Inter Miami contract is worth up to $150 Million. The deal is worth $50 – $60 Million per year over two and a half years.

While $150 Million is a lot, it is nowhere near the contracts Lionel Messi has had in the past. However, His $150 Million contract does not include the additional compensation he will receive from MLS partners Adidas and Apple. Messi is set to get a cut of revenue from new subscribers to Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass. A discussion about a profit split with Adidas was also held. If you add these additional compensations to Messi’s Inter Miami contract, his earnings while at the club will be astronomical.
It is estimated that by the end of 2025, Lionel Messi’s total earnings will reach an estimated $1.6 Billion. While he has earned over a billion dollars, a person’s net worth is not estimated solely on earnings. However, his extremely high-paying contracts throughout his career have helped him achieve an impressive net worth of $600 Million.
