Athletic Bilbao has won the La Liga title eight times. The club was founded in 1898. They are one of the three founding members of the Primera Division that have never been relegated since it started in 1929. The other two clubs who have achieved this feat are Real Madrid and Barcelona. While the club has a very rich history, they haven’t found much success in La Liga in recent years. Their last La Liga trophies came back in the 1982/83 and 1983/84 seasons when they won the league title in back-to-back seasons. Athletic Bilbao, however, has found success in the Supercopa de Espana. They won the trophy in 2015 and in the 2020/21 season.
