Kieron Pollard’s Renowned IPL Career Highlights: Considered one of the finest all-rounders of the Indian Premier League, Kieron Pollard has represented Mumbai Indians for 13 seasons. The 35-year-old right-handed batsman had announced retirement from IPL after Mumbai Indians released him in the player retention. Pollard joined the ‘Blue Army’ in 2010 and has become one of this generation’s greatest players. 

According to the reports, Pollard will still represent the Mumbai Indians as a batting coach. Mumbai Indians backed Kieron Pollard and released Hardik Pandya in the previous IPL auctions. With this step from the franchise, one cannot deny that Pollard was always a MI Forever. 

When asked about his retirement, Pollard stated that “It hasn’t been an easy decision because I will continue to play for a few more years, but I understand that this incredible franchise, which has accomplished so much, needs to transition, and if I’m no longer to play for MI, then I can’t see myself playing against MI either.” An MI is always a MI. I am extremely proud, honoured, and blessed to have represented the IPL’s largest and most successful team for the past 13 seasons.

Pollard’s Renowned IPL Career Highlights

Pollard has been the second-highest run-getter for Mumbai Indians. The veteran had scored 3915 runs in his entire IPL career. Besides this, the right-handed batsman has registered himself in the most sixes smashed by a Mumbai Indians player. Pollard has smashed 223 sixes, which is the most by any. 

Pollard has contributed much with his fielding, not only with the bat and the ball. Pollard has the most catches in the IPL by a non-wicketkeeper, i.e. 103 catches. He has the second-highest batting strike rate for Mumbai Indians.
