Ivan Perisic is a Croatian professional footballer who currently plays for Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven. The talented winger is a very versatile player who has played in various positions, from winger to left-wing back to left-back. Perisic also played a key role during Croatia’s historic run in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where they reached the final. This article talks about Ivan Perisic’s net worth and the salary he earns while playing for Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven.
Ivan Perisic’s football journey started when he joined the youth academy of NK Dalmatinac Split in 1998. He developed with them for a couple of years before joining Hajduk Split, the club he grew up supporting, in 2000. The only match he played for Hajduk was a friendly 3-1 win over Smederevo in Murska Sobota on 16th July 2006. The Croatian star was offered a new contract by the club, but he decided to join the French club Sochaux in 2006.
During his time at Sochaux, Perisic failed to make a first-team appearance but did play for the B team. He was also sent on loan to Belgian club Roeselare in 2009. On 26th August 2009, Belgian club Club Brugge signed Perisic from Sochaux and gave him a three-year contract. He spent two seasons at the club and performed wonderfully, developing as a player and showcasing his talent to the world. This attracted attention from a lot of top clubs from around the world.

Borussia Dortmund decided to make the first move and sign the talented player on 23rd May 2011. They signed him on a five-year contract, and Perisic made his debut for the club on 5th August against Hamburger SV. He developed at a good rate at the club but was disappointed with the lack of game time at Borussia Dortmund. He went on Croatian channel Nova TV and said that he had received no support from Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp, who accused him of favouring other players. Perisic left mid-way through the season to join VfL Wolfsburg.

Ivan Perisic played for VfL Wolfsburg for four seasons in the Bundesliga before joining Serie A side Inter Milan on 30th August 2015. He signed a five-year contract with the Italian club and spent most of his career with them, making 254 appearances for them across all competitions. His stint with the club also included a season-long loan to Bayern Munich in the 2019/20 season. After a long stint with Milan, Perisic joined the English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. During his second year with the club, he returned to his hometown club, Hajduk Split, on loan till the end of the season.
The Croatian star’s stay at Hajduk Split was extended after his contract with Spurs expired, but this was terminated on 30th August 2024 by mutual consent. The star player then joined PSV Eindhoven on a one-year deal on 18th September 2024. This is in addition to the multiple contracts he has had in his career. These professional contracts are his primary source of income and have helped him accumulate a net worth of around $5 Million.

Ivan Perisic signed his latest professional contract with Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven on 18th September 2024. This one-year contract will keep him at the club until the summer of 2025. While this is not the biggest contract in his career, it still nets him around $1.3 Million, which roughly translates to around $25,000 per week. While this is not a lot, it will surely help him boost his net worth even further.
While Ivan Perisic is still playing football regularly, he is now 35 years old and old age is catching up to him. This may even end up being the last season of his career. While PSV Eindhoven is happy with employing him as a player, the winger has earned enough money during his career to live a comfortable life after retiring. This is why it will not be surprising if Ivan Perisic ends up hanging up his boots after the end of this season.
