IPL 2023: IPL Franchise Requested CSK Board To Release Ravindra Jadeja

IPL 2023: IPL Franchise Requested CSK Board To Release Ravindra Jadeja: The former captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Ravindra Jadeja, had a bad IPL season last year. Jadeja was appointed as the CSKs captain, but the left-handed bowling all-rounder failed miserably and asked MS Dhoni to take the captaincy back. I agree that captaincy is not everyone’s cup of tea. When you are playing with someone who has already dominated the contest and done so much for his national team, it is not easy to lead the side.

Jadeja is indeed one of the best players in the world and has proved his worth every time he gets the opportunity. Jadeja’s relationship with CSK management was a talking point in the previous edition. Several reports on this stated that CSK management is not treating well with Jadeja.

It may not be the entire truth, but CSK not bidding on Suresh Raina in the IPL 2022 mega auction made me believe that the management is not backing their players anymore.

Ravindra Jadeja’s stint with four-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) seems to be coming to an abrupt end as the Indian all-rounder has reportedly severed all ties with the franchise. Jadeja was asked to step down from captaincy midway through the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 after the team’s poor start, and the move didn’t go down well with the star all-rounder.

Before today it was clear that Jadeja is all set to break the stint with CSK and move on with some of their franchise. Any franchise in IPL would want someone like Ravindra Jadeja into their squad. According to the reports, Jadeja was in contact with Mumbai Indians, and it was almost fixed that he would play for MI in the next edition of IPL. The rumors proved true when a Couple of IPL franchises, including the Delhi Capitals, requested CSK for a trade of Ravindra Jadeja, but CSK didn’t accept the trade. (Reported by Cricbuzz).
