The Orange Army have looked to completely revamp their team by releasing 12 players ahead of the IPL 2023 auction.

The list includes top names like former skipper Kane Williamson, Nicholas Pooran, Romario Shepherd, and a few Indian talents. SRH boasts the biggest purse worth 42.25 crores ahead of the IPL 2023 auction, which will help the franchise make a few solid signings. They currently have a dangerous-looking team on paper, which could be heavily boosted in the upcoming IPL 2023 auction.

Ben Stokes

SRH will not shy away from going for the biggest names that will be a part of the upcoming IPL 2023 auction, with the team boasting the highest remaining purse among all franchises. They will be looking for a seam-bowling all-rounder and a new captain after they released Kane Williamson ahead of the IPL 2023 auction.

It would be fair to assume that the Hyderabad-based franchise will go all out for star England all-rounder Ben Stokes. The former Rajasthan Royals star fits the bill and has been in exceptional form in the recently concluded ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

Ben Stokes can play three roles for the team. The English all-rounder can lead the side and slot in the middle order while batting and presenting himself as a bowling option in the death overs. With a base price of 2 crores, SRH will surely look to bid for him, with the 31-year-old entering the IPL 2023 auction as one of the hottest properties up for grabs.

Mayank Agarwal

The former Punjab Kings star Mayank Agarwal, who was released by his side ahead of the IPL 2023 auction, can be a solid pick for SRH. The Karnataka opener will act as a like-for-like replacement for Kane Williamson. Having someone like Mayank Agarwal in the team will also allow the franchise to bring in an additional foreign hitter in the middle order.

The 31-year-old can also open the innings allowing Rahul Tripathi to play at No. 3 for SRH. He can also slot at the no 3 slot giving Tripathi and Abhishek Sharma to open the inning if needed. Agarwal is also a viable option to lead the team if they miss out on other captaincy options in the IPL 2023 auction.

Adam Zampa

The spin bowling department of SRH remains a major concern for the team. The franchise lacked a quality specialist spinner and will aim to rope in Adam Zampa in the IPL 2023 auction. The Australian star took 13 wickets in ICC T20 World Cup 2022, ending the tournament as the second-highest wicket-taker.

The leg spinner first played for Rising Pune Super Giants in IPL, with his latest appearance in the tournament coming for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2020. He could end up being one of the most expensive spinners in the upcoming IPL 2023 auction.
