The Premier League sees some of the best teams in the world compete against each other week in and week out. A lot of stars end up performing in different weeks, scoring goals and helping their respective teams out of tough situations. While a good defence is important, goal scorers usually tend to make the headlines and grab most of the attention. This is why most such lists usually consist of strikers and attackers. This article talks about the top 5 best performers in Gameweek 25 of the Premier League.

Omar Marmoush was one of the best players of Gameweek 25 in the Premier League. Manchester City faced Newcastle United in Gameweek 25, and given their recent form, they really needed a win. Newcastle United have been in very good form, and many expected them to defeat Manchester City, but City’s new signing, Marmoush, stepped up for them. He played for just 75 minutes but managed to score a hattrick, scoring in the 19th, 24th, and 33rd minute to give Manchester City a 3-0 lead before going off. The Cityzens ended up winning the game 4-0, thanks to a stellar performance by Omar Marmoush.

Yankuba Minteh is another player who had a fantastic outing in Gameweek 25 of the Premier League. Brighton managed to thrash Chelsea 3-0, and it was Minteh who was at the heart of Brighton’s incredible performance. While Kaoru Mitoma opened the scoring for Brighton, it was Minteh who put the final nails in the coffin. He scored in both halves, scoring in the 38th minute and 63rd minute to guide Brighton to a 3-0 win against Chelsea. Given how the Gambian footballer performed against them, it will not be surprising if Minteh ends up being the next player Chelsea decided to try to sign from Brighton.

My assist of the weekend is Ryan Christie’s assist to Outtara for Bournemouth FC’s first goal against Southampton.
I chose the assist because of the curve on the ball and how perfect it was for the scorer.Do you agree with me?#goaloftheday #goaloftheweekend… pic.twitter.com/urvXdsll1Y

Ryan Christie was on fire when Bournemouth played against the Wolverhampton Wanderers on 15th February 2025. Bournemouth have been in incredible form recently, while Southampton are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table, which is why it was expected that Bournemouth would end up beating Southampton. While players like Kluivert and Dango have been shining recently, it was Christie’s turn to perform for Bournemouth. Ryan Christie assisted the opener by Dango Ouattara in the 14th minute before scoring just two minutes later, doubling Bournemouth’s lead in the 16th minute and helping them win the game as their star player in Gameweek 25.

Mikel Merino managed to get Arsenal out of a pickle in Gameweek 25 of the Premier League. The Gunners have been struggling with an injury crisis in attack and had to look towards midfielders like Merino to find the goals. Arsenal faced Leicester City in the Premier League, and both teams struggled to find the opening goal. While the Spanish midfielder started on the bench, Mikel Arteta decided to put Merino in during the 69th minute. The game stood at 0-0 till the 80th minute before Merino managed to find the opener in the 81st minute. He followed this up with another goal in the 87th minute, helping Arsenal escape with a late 2-0 win.

Everton has been performing incredibly well ever since David Moyes returned as the manager, and Carlos Alcaraz helped them keep their good run intact in the game against Crystal Palace on 15th February 2025. Beto opened the scoring in the 42nd minute thanks to an assist by Alcaraz, who helped Everton go into half-time with a lead. However, Mateta scored the equaliser in the 47th minute, and Everton needed another goal to win the game. The game stood at 1-1 for quite a while before Carlos Alcaraz managed to find the winner in the 80th minute, giving Everton a 2-1 lead and helping them win the game against Crystal Palace.
