Christopher Nkunku has not had the best of starts to life in the Premier League and has been unable to settle down well at Chelsea. He was a world-renowned rising star with immense talent before joining the English side, but an injury after joining Chelsea led to a rapid decline in his career. Since returning from injury, he has failed to make a name for himself and has struggled to get into the starting lineup. This has prompted Nkunku to explore his options, and it looks like he will be returning to Germany after Bayern Munich offers him a lucrative deal to join them.

Christopher Nkunku seems to be ready to return to Germany, where he first earned his reputation as a world-class forward while playing for RB Leipzig. Bayern Munich have shown interest in signing the talented French forward, and this might be just the perfect chance for him to get his career back on track. His Premier League career has not gone as planned, and he has struggled to break into the starting lineup. With the amount of talent and options available at Chelsea right now, Nkunku’s best course of action to get his career back on track may be to seek a move away from the club.
Chelsea’s current manager, Enzo Maresca, also spoke about the stiff competition in the attack, which is limiting the game time for many stars. He said:
“The only thing I’ve said since the start is it’s difficult to play games with so many attacking players. For me it’s quite easy, we have three players that are more or less similar, Joao and Cole and Christo. Joao has played some games, Christo has played, they both played against Ipswich, they both played Southampton and Leicester. In some games we can play with them all together but not every game.”

Chelsea seems to be open to selling Nkunku to Bayern Munich and has welcomed the offer by the Bundesliga club. However, they will not let him go for cheap and have set a price tag of £65 Million for him. Bayern Munich will have to pay a hefty fee if they want to sign the French striker, something which they are not known for. The German club normally sign players for a low fee and is not known for paying out large sums of money, which is the only problem that may occur in what seems to be a done deal.

It has been reported that Chelsea may be open to another option, such as allowing Christopher Nkunku to join Bayern Munich. They have had their eyes on the 19-year-old talent Mathys Tel and could be persuaded to sell Nkunku for a highly reduced fee if Tel was to join them. However, given the promise he has been showing and the fact that he is just 19 years old and is already playing at the top level, Munich might not be ready to let him go, and it will be very surprising if Tel gets added to the Nkunku deal.
While the Blues fans were excited to see Christopher Nkunku in action this season, given how Nicolas Jackson has been performing this season, they may not even regret seeing him leave. Jackson’s form under Maresca is one of the biggest reasons for Nkuku’s lack of game time. It is clear that Maresca prefers Jackson, and we have seen Nkunku sit on the bench till the last 10/15 minutes of the game, even when Jackson is not playing well. This is why Nkunku has made the decision to leave Chelsea and join Bayern Munich if an agreement is reached between the two clubs.
