Paul Pogba is a French professional football player who currently plays for the Serie A side Juventus. He is a brilliant midfielder who possesses a lot of talent and was regarded as one of the biggest rising talents when he was young. He developed into a fantastic player, and while his career has had its ups and downs, he has helped both his country and the various clubs he has played for exponentially, winning many prestigious honours with them. This article talks about Paul Pogba’s net worth and the salary he earns while playing for Juventus.
Paul Pogba started his football journey by joining the youth academy of Roissy-en-Brie in 1999. He spent seven seasons at the club before joining US Torcy, where he served as captain of the club’s under-13 team. His stay at Torcy was short-lived, and he moved to Le Havre just one season later. His performances in the youth system caught the eye of some of the best clubs in the world, and it was English side Manchester United who decided to bring him to England to develop with their youth academy.

The French star spent a few years developing with the team but never managed to break into the first team completely. However, he did make his professional debut for Manchester United, making his debut on 15th August 2011 in the United’s opening Premier Reserve League match against Arsenal. Pogba, however, decided to seek a move away from the club after the end of the 2011/12 season in search of game time.
Paul Pogba was confirmed as a Juventus player by the club on 27th July 2012, and the transfer was officially completed on 3rd August after Pogba signed a four-year contract with the Serie A side. The French midfielder really came into his own at Juventus, developing into a monstrous midfielder and becoming one of Juventus’ most important players. He spent four years at Juventus, making a total of 178 appearances for the club in all competitions.

While his talent attracted attention from all around the world, the team that wanted him the most was the very team that had let him leave. Manchester United recognised that they had been unable to help Pogba develop and, after seeing his performances at Juventus, wanted him back to help solve their midfield problems. On 8th August 2016, Pogba returned to Manchester United on a five-year contract, with the club breaking the then-record fee to get him back.
Paul Pogba’s return to Manchester United was full of excitement and expectations, but his career at the club did not pan out that way. He spent six seasons at the club, making a total of 226 appearances in all competitions, but such a high price tag led to unrealistic expectations that Pogba could simply not match. The move was not entirely a failure or success, and the player returned to Juventus on 11th July 2022. The talented player was rewarded with very high-paying contracts at both these clubs, and it is with the help of these professional contracts that Paul Pogba has managed to accumulate a massive net worth of around $125 Million.

Paul Pogba’s latest contract with Juventus came on 11th July 2022 when he joined them on a four-year contract. His original salary was agreed to be around $215,000 per week, netting the French star over $11 Million per year, but this has drastically reduced in the aftermath of a failed drug test. The player currently earns the minimum wage, i.e., around $45,000 per year, which is a drastic fall from his high-paying contract. He will continue to earn this wage till he can return to football once his ban ends.
Pogba’s return to Juventus was nothing extraordinary, and he failed to match the form he was in during his first stint at the club. However, he was still doing relatively well before the incident of failing a drug occurred. The player was banned from football for four years, but it was recently reduced to 18 months, and he will be able to return in March 2025. The player hopes to recapture the faith of the fans upon his return and will go back to earning his original salary once he returns, which will once again help him boost his future net worth.
