Ajinkya Rahane has bounced back in style with consistent performances in the Indian Premier League. Given his outings in IPL 2023, the 34-year-old has made a comeback in the Indian Test team for the highly awaited World Test Championship (WTC) 2022 Final.
Rahane is named in India’s 15-man squad for the World Test Championship final against Australia. He is all set to be a part of the Rohit Sharma-led contingent, which is all set to square off against their Aussie counterparts at The Oval on 7th June.

The former captain’s comeback story is nothing short of amazing as he joins the national team squad for the longest format of the game after a year-long exile. Rahane was dropped from the Indian test team squad after a poor run of low scores during the 2021-22 tour of South Africa. However, his spectacular form in the IPL 2023, as well as injuries to key players like Shreyas Iyer has seen the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hand him a return to the national team set-up.
