KOL vs RCB Head To Head In the IPL: The Kolkata and Bangalore teams have a well-known rivalry in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the 31 games they have played against each other, the Kolkata Knight Riders have emerged victorious 17 times, while the Royal Challengers Bangalore have won 14 times.
The rivalry started with the first game of the IPL in 2008 when the Kolkata Knight Riders faced the Royal Challengers Bangalore. In that game, Brendon McCullum of the Knight Riders smashed the RCB bowling attack, scoring an impressive 158 runs off just 73 balls. Kolkata set a mammoth target of 222 runs, and Bangalore could only manage 82 runs before being bowled out, giving KKR a massive win by a margin of 140 runs.

Both teams enjoyed a nine-game winning streak until 2016. However, Kolkata won eight out of thirteen games played against Bangalore after that year. In their most recent meeting in IPL 2022, Bangalore emerged as winners by three wickets. As a result, the upcoming match between the two teams on 6th April, 2023, is eagerly anticipated.
The Eden Gardens in Kolkata has been a fortress for the home team in the past IPL seasons, as they know the conditions well and use them to their advantage. However, Bangalore will be hoping to continue their good performances against Kolkata at this venue. The match’s outcome is uncertain, and which team will come out on top remains to be seen.
