WSOP 2022: Goindi, Bansal And Karia Exited Colossus Event


The 51st event in the ongoing World Series Of Poker (WSOP) 2022 is the $400 buy-in Colossus event. Abhishek Goindi,  was grinding in this tournament and went to Day 2. He busted on the 972nd position and cashed $890. The top 1,695 players made it in the money in this event. Other Indians who participated in this event were Paawan Bansal and Siddharth Karia. Bansal busted on the 1374th position and pocketed $700, while Karia busted at 142nd position and took home $3,180. Talking about the event and getting busted, Karia said, ‘Really wanted to get a bracelet home!”

The next tournament on Goindi’s schedule is the Tag Team event, which is considered very special for Indians. He has teamed up with Bansal for this one. In the past, Aditya Sushant and Nipun Java won the first bracelet in a Tag team event (2017) which was followed by Nikita Luther and Giuseppe Pantaleo. This pair won a bracelet in 2018 in the same event. Stay tuned to Gutshot Magazine and the social media handles of these players to get quick updates. 

The winner of this event walks away with a massive $414,490 in prize money and the coveted WSOP baracelet. Day 2 of this event will consist of 15 40-minute levels and it started on Level 18, with blinds at 6,000-12,000 and a 12,000 big blind ante.

Other well-known international players who played were Alejandro Lococo, PokerStars ambassador (1345th, $800), two-time bracelet winner Brett Shaffer (947th, $950), two-time bracelet winner Justin Pechie (652nd, $1,200), two time bracelet winner Eric Baldwin (87th, $4,360) among others.
