WSOP 2020: Vousden Leads 99 Survivors on Day 1A of $25M ME


It is the time that poker enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for! The 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online has kept us busy for more than one-and-half month. Several players by now have made a remarkable finish including India’s ‘Mandovi’ claiming the first gold bracelet of 2020. That’s not all, Suraj Mishra broke the past record by capturing the biggest WSOP payout in Indian history.

The first of 22 starting flights of WSOP Event #77: $5,000 No-Limit Hold`em Main Event concluded on Monday. The standout event of the entire series promises a never-before-seen $25 million in prize pool. Day 1A pulled out 464 entries, and after 15 levels of 30 minutes, the field whittled down to 99 of them progressing to Day 2. Leading the list was Finland’s Samuel Vousden who accumulated a stack of 717,497. The chip leader is followed by Christian ‘CharlieD23’ Jeppsson bagging 602,774 chips and the 2018 bracelet winner Julien Martini with 576,965 chips, rounding up the trio. 

Vousden has $244,051 in lifetime winnings and has cashed seven times at the ongoing series. Other notable players including Grayson ‘TurdFerguson’ Ramage (441,567), Dmitry ‘Altbbb’ Yurasov (400,263), Joshua ‘slayerv1fan’ Hoesel (392,596), Rui Ferrera (385,142), and Alexandros Kolonias (381,459), India’s ‘raavan’ (298,967) and ‘pokerplayer’ (170,053) are progressing to Day 2.

Day 1A top 10 chip counts:

  3. Julien Martini – 576,965
  4. Drew ‘BigPavelski’ Soik – 547,536
  5. Fernando ‘waransan’ Garcia – 498,741

  7. Grayson ‘TurdFerguson’ Ramage – 441,567
  8. Dmitry ‘Altbbb’ Yurasov – 400,263
  9. Joshua ‘slayerv1fan’ Hoesel – 392,596
  10. Daan ‘DaanOss’ Mulders – 385,661
