WPT Prime Cambodia: Kunal Patni And Ankit Jajodia Reach Main Event FT


The World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime Cambodia Main Event Day 2 has now come to an end with nine players going to the final table. Leading the lot is Taiwanese player Chi Jen ‘Justin’ Chu who has a stack of 8,615,000 chips. Right behind him with the second-highest chip lead is Adda52 Game Ambassador Kunal Patni, with 6,640,000 chips.

The $1,100 Main Event saw a total of 1,050 entries participate across the three starting flights. The final prize pool was bumped up to $1,018,500, which is the largest prize pool in live poker history in Cambodia. Day 2 of the event started with 129 survivors fighting to make it to the final table. In the end, nine players reached the FT, among which are two Indians, Kunal Patni, and Ankit Jajodia.

Patni entered Day 2 with the biggest stack and maintained the lead position until player Chi Jen ‘Justin’ Chu surpassed him. Currently, Patni is also third on the Player of the Festival leaderboard with 600 points. Indian pro Ankit Jajodia also made it to the final table with 2,990,000 in chips. This is Jajodia’s second ITM finish in the tournament, as he bagged twice and took his bigger stack to Day 2. He already has received a min-cash of $1,810 for his other ITM finish.

WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer busted in 10th place and bubbled the final table. He walked away with $16,880 in prize money. With his exit, Day 2 of the Main Event ended, and the final nine players were formed.

The WPT Main Event champion will walk away with the lion’s share of the prize pool worth $168,760. He also will get a $10,400 entry into the WPT World Championships. The final table of the Main Event will resume today at 1 PM local time at the five-star NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh.
