WPT Day 6: Rajat Mahajan Ships The WPT Superstack Classic For 7.94 Lakh


The World Poker Tour (WPT) on Adda52 is on its sixth day and is still going strong. As usual, yesterday also saw an influx of players who were all competing for the top prize on the online platform. The event saw poker pros like Sanat Mehrotra, Gaurav Sood, Srihari Bang, and others storm the high-value tournaments. Let’s take a look at who managed to grab WPT titles.

WPT Superstack Classic – ₹30 Lakh GTD

With an advertised guarantee of ₹30 Lakh, the WPT Superstack Classic pulled in a total of 463 entries. The buy-in was ₹7,700 and by the end of the event, the prize pool was crushed, and the final amount was ₹32,41,019. Those who made it to the top 49 places took a bite from the prize pool and went home with a min-cash of ₹17,826.

The winner of the tournament was Rajat Mahajan aka ‘Happyfish’ who pocketed winnings worth ₹7,94,045 and a WPT title. In the runner up position was Poker Sports League founder, Pranav Bagai aka ‘macchi123’ who went home with ₹4,69,945 added to his bankroll.

While players like, Mohit Mehta (3rd, ₹3,24,100), Sumit Sapra (5th, ₹1,62,050), Siddhanth Kripalani (6th, ₹1,13,435), Sanat Mehrotra (12th, ₹32,410), Gutshot’s January 2021 cover star Gaurav Sood (18th, ₹27,549), Srihari Bang (21st, ₹24,308), Vishnu Khandelwal (26th, ₹21,067), and Anant Purohit (34th, ₹21,067) made the money.

WPT Bounty Classic PKO – ₹15 Lakh GTD

When it comes to bounty tournaments, many players play it for the thrill that the tournament style offers. The WPT Bounty Classic on Adda52 welcomed 370 total entries eager to participate in this high energy event. The total buy-in for the tournament was ₹5,500 out of which ₹1,000 was for the bounty. Once the event ended, players in the top 38 places took home a min-cash of ₹10,582 in prize money.

The numero uno spot was taken by player ‘Ashadcrkm’ who took home a total paycheck of ₹4,52,530 out of which he managed to grab ₹74,112 in bounty prize. Anant Purohit aka ‘Pro_baba’ was runner up and added ₹2,47,235 to his bankroll, out of which his bounty prize was ₹17,914.

Other players who made the money were IOPC July 2021 Leaderboard topper Anuj Yadav (3rd, ₹1,75,254), WPT Superstack winner Rajat Mahajan (9th, ₹33,523), Ritwik Khanna (11th, ₹28,630), Srihari Bang (16th, ₹18,380), Mohit Mehta (17th, ₹17,130), Ankit Wadhawan (31st, ₹9,582) etc.
