What If Doug Polk And Daniel Negreanu Went Heads-Up In WSOP ME?

Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk have been at loggerheads for a good period of time. Two of the biggest names in poker had created a sort of rivalry amongst themselves, with their feuds going viral and in some cases even becoming memes. Polk is a three-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, having pocketed more than $9 Million in live tournament earnings, according to Hendon Mob.

DNegs, on the other hand, needs no introduction as he is one of the most recognisable faces in the poker industry. The 48-year-old is a six-time WSOP bracelet winner and also a member of the Poker Hall of Fame. Currently residing in Las Vegas, the Canadian poker pro has won over $50 million in live tournament earnings.

Daniel Negreanu vs Doug Polk

Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk had a lot of bad blood between them, which started after Polk frequently attacked Negreanu for his actions on his popular YouTube channel. The duo later decided to play a heads-up poker challenge match back in 2021, with both the poker stars playing 25,000 hands in a heads-up No-limit Hold’em online. This highly awaited match started off on 4th November and ended on 3rd February with stakes of $200-$400 alongside a $40,000 initial buy-in on each table.

This three-month-long battle ended with Polk emerging victorious and winning $1.2 million! After that epic fight, the duo is said to have buried the hatchet and is ready to call it a truce. Polk made statements on how he would avoid personal attacks in the future before standing by his criticism of Daniel Negreanu.

Doug Polk And Daniel Negreanu At WSOP

With the 54th World Series of Poker (WSOP) almost upon both the players will be eager to lock horns against each other once again at the biggest poker show on the planet. While ‘KidPoker’ will surely grind at WSOP 2023 there is no clarity on Polk being in Sin City for the marquee tournament.

But god forbid if there was a time when DNegs went up against Polk in the WSOP Main Event, poker people would give anything to catch the action live. Leave the grudge match behind, and its memories, it would be a gala time just seeing how Daniel Negreanu deals with Polk on the table, well knowing that the latter will surely stream his thoughts on his podcast on his YouTube channel. As for DNegs, he is all set to grind in WSOP 2023 to make sure his tally of bracelets sees an uptick.
