Wednesdays are all about poker players getting into the vibe of the weekend. Top poker platforms give grinders a teaser of the weekend by hosting mid-value tournaments. PokerBaazi conducted its staple Pride tournament, while Spartan Poker hosted Wednesday Vibes and Destiny. PokerStars conducted the Night on Stars ₹5 Lakh GTD event. Virtual felts of these online poker brands were filled with action and here’s a recap of all that went down last night.
The ₹5,500 buy-in Destiny event on Spartan Poker had 426 entries. Top 40 players in this event were paid a min-cash of ₹13,800. This event was shipped by M Balakrishnan aka ‘LACHANCE’ who cashed a massive ₹4,96,287 in prize money. Balakrishnan fired two bullets to clinch the top spot.
Notable grinders Naresh Veeravalli (10th, ₹34,500), Ankit Bajaj fired two bullets (11th, ₹25,300), IOPC veteran (13th, ₹25,300), Ankit Wadhawan with two bullets (15th, ₹25,300), Alok Birewar fired four bullets (18th, ₹20,700), IOPC Mastermind winner Aniket Waghmare (21st, ₹18,400) among others.

The Wednesday Vibes tournament on Spartan Poker was shipped by Rohit Makhija aka ‘maxi2727’ who received a pay cheque of ₹1,09,398. The tournament had 398 entries in total and the top 31 players were paid a min-cash of ₹5,280. There were several pros on the final table, namely Sanish Chhabra (4th, ₹48,840), Parth Budhjara (5th, ₹38,840), Meet Jariwala (8th, ₹15,660) among others. The ₹1,650 buy-in tournament had IOPC July 2021 commentator Kanchan Sharma (10th, ₹10,980), Balakrishnan (12th, ₹9,780), Adda52 Game Ambassador Kunal Patni (13th, ₹9,780), Shashank Desai (15th, ₹8,800) among others.
The Pride event is a staple ₹3,850 buy-in tournament on PokerBaazi. The event had 304 entries in total and the top 36 players were paid a min-cash of ₹7,235. This event was shipped by a mystery player who goes by the moniker of ‘Chetraj100.’ This mystery player cashed ₹2,35,000 in prize money. The advertised guarantee of this event was surpassed and the new prize pool stood at ₹10,64,000.
Pro players like Arun Sriram (5th, ₹58,950), Amit Kaushik (6th, ₹47,140), Kanchan Sharma (22nd, ₹9,363), Mithun Mahesh (32nd, ₹7,235) among others.
The Night on Stars bounty tournament on PokerStars was a ₹1,950 buy-in event. This tournament had 253 entries in total and the top 27 players were paid a min-cash of ₹3,055. This event was a deal between a mystery player called ‘Hushpoke’ and Deepankur Gupta aka ‘dp8218.’ ‘Hushpoker’ took home ₹46,767 in prize money while Gupta cashed ₹46,766. The anonymous player took home ₹65,180 in bounty cash while Gupta received ₹4,933 in bounty money.
