Wednesday Round Up: Avneesh Munjal Clinches Destiny On Spartan Poker For 6.18 Lakh


Poker platforms were buzzing with activity as the online felts came alive on Wednesday. The online felts witnessed some intense poker action. While many pros tried their hands at marquee tournaments like Destiny and The Pride only a few managed to finish in the money. Here is a quick recap of the action that went down yesterday.

Destiny – ₹23 Lakh GTD

Destiny on Spartan Poker had 467 total entries and a buy-in of ₹5,500. The event surpassed its advertised guarantee and the final prize pool was ₹23,35,000. Top 40 places were paid. The min-cash stood at ₹14,010.

Avneesh Munjal aka ‘IamAM’  emerged as the biggest winner of the night. He shipped the tournament and added ₹6,18,775 to his bankroll. Munjal was the biggest winner of the night. ‘Dangalion’ who was the runner up, took home ₹3,85,275 as his winning amount.

Mohak Kapoor (8th, ₹56,040), Eshan Kapoor (11th, ₹28,020), Paras Jain (19th, ₹21,015), Vishnu Khandelwal (30th, ₹16,345), Vinayak Bajaj (33rd, ₹14,010), IOPC July 2021 leaderboard winner Anuj Yadav (35th, ₹14,010), and IOPC July 2021 commentator Kanchan Sharma (38th, ₹14,010) were some of the players who made it in the money.

The Pride – ₹10 Lakh GTD

The Pride on PokerBaazi was a successful event. This tourney had 279 entries in total. This Wednesday staple on PokerBaazi had a buy-in of ₹3,850 and only the top 36 players made it in the money. The min-cash paid was ₹6,800.

IOPC January 2020 Millionaire Main Event winner, Anurag Srivastava aka ‘13anurag’ shipped this event after defeating player ‘quark.’ Srivastava took a pay cheque of ₹2,21,000. While ‘quark’ added ₹1,55,000 to his bankroll.

Players who made it in the money were Siddhanth Kripalani (8th, ₹29,500), Sanket Arora (9th, ₹22,100), Kanchan Sharma (19th, ₹9,900), Chirag Sodha (22nd, ₹8,800), Ankit Wadhawan (26th, ₹7,800), Myron Pereira (30th, ₹6,800), and Abhimanyu Mittal (34th, ₹6,800) among others.
