Poker player Avanie Joshi is a multi-talented persona! Why? Well, the diva is a singer, song writer, music composer and a talented poker player. We covered this leggy lass’ story in our Women In Poker series and we were mighty impressed with this girl. So what’s this new song and how did it all come together? Yes, we know you have all those questions in your mind, and for that we made sure to ask Joshi for answers.
Joshi said, “The thought behind Shy Balma was to inspire the girls to take the first step towards bringing a change when it comes to love and tell those guys about their feelings. I love shy guys so I pretty much wrote down my feelings about my fantasy guy and how I would tell him all that I felt about him.
The stunner who has featured in many PokerHigh videos sheds light on the exciting journey she had during the song’s making. Joshi added, “Me and ceAzer were to make some songs and pitch them to different labels, and one of those songs was Shy Balma. This was first made for the Empire Studios in Mumbai but it was ultimately made with Saregama as that brand came to me with a song requirement. So, I pitched the Shy Balma song scratch. Saregama really liked the pop vibe of the song and requested me to send the full song at the earliest so that they could shoot it and release it before Valentine’s day.
Me and ceAzer worked on the production together. Once he was done with the music, I composed and wrote the lyrics and quickly within a day dubbed the song and sent it for mixing. This process took around two days. Then the song came back from mixing at ceAzers studio and within the next two days we were ready to shoot the music video.”
The peppy number was shot at True Tram Trunk Juhu and was directed by Sachin Gupta, reveals Joshi. Shy Balma has so far garnered quite the fan following among Indie-music loving fans and we are sure the Shy Balma fever will grip you too.
