Vikram ‘Lungi’ Kumar wins Adda52 Go Goa

Adda52 is a well-established brand in the Indian poker scene that brings out the talented players and hones their skills by giving them plenty of opportunities to indulge their love for poker on their platform. Their Go Goa series is an initiative to do just that.

They host INR 5 Lakhs GTD Go Goa tournaments every Tuesday and top 2 winners from each of these four tournaments each month get to play in the 8-Max SnG tournament later, where the winner is awarded with INR 1.2 Lakhs package trip to Goa. This includes INR 1 Lakh worth of Deltin Poker Tournament buy-in and travel and stay worth INR 20K.

Recently, Pranav Khandalkar aka ‘pkpok‘ bagged the Goa package from this promotion. When Gutshot got in touch with him after, he reacted, “I feel very satisfied that I won the Goa package yesterday and am ooking forward to having a great time and a happy experience in Goa!

Last night’s Go Goa on Adda52 attracted 186 entries (84 re-entries) who individually coughed up the INR 2,750 buy-in for 10,000 starting stack each. The tournament started at 8 pm and ended at 1:35 am today morning. The winner to emerge from this grind was the well-known poker player and industry veteran Vikram ‘Lungi’ Kumar aka ‘caprese512’, who took home INR 1,40,000 as 1st place cash prize.

He beat another well-known grinder Ritam Bhattacharya aka ‘RitamB’ in heads-up to bag the money and the title. Bhattacharya also won INR 84,000 for his runner-up finish and will be able to play the Go Goa 8-Max SnG scheduled on 6th Jan 2019. He also won the Gayle Storm 4.0 on Adda52 a couple weeks ago.

Kumar is affectionately called as ‘Lungi’ by his peers in the industry. He is one of the people who were involved very early in this industry, also launching his poker-centric ‘LungiTV’ early this year. He is an accomplished live player and with this win he will be very excited to go to Goa, the home of poker enthusiasts of this country. He is also one of the organizers behind the Emerald Poker Tour which just completed its second season a week ago in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Rounding up top 4 in the yesterday’s Go Goa were both accomplished players, Sriharsha Doddapaneni aka ‘Ivey2’ (3rd – INR 63,500) and Akshay Nasa aka ‘vibaks’ (4th – INR 45,000). WPT India Main Event runner-up Sahil Mahboobani aka ‘ImHighIshove’  finished 8th and cashing out INR 13,750. Manila Megastack 10 Main Event’s 9th ranker Harsh Dembla aka ‘dembla’ cashed out at 15th place with INR 7,250.
