Swedish DJ Avicii Dies, Aged 28

He announced his retirement from touring in 2016, mostly because of health issues, including a gall bladder and appendix being removed in 2014. It is said that the music producer and DJ suffered from acute pancreatitis in the past, in part due to excessive drinking.

The music industry was shocked at this news that came out last night. Fans and those who had associated themselves with Avicii in the past, expressed their grief on social media:

Liam Payne: “Oh my god truly devastated for Avicii  very very sad news way to young … what a talent he was. rest in peace x”

Zedd: “No words can describe the sadness I’m feeling right now, hearing about Avicii passing away…. Thoughts go out to his family and friends…”
