Tuesday night witnessed some high-intensity poker action that left many awe-struck. Akshay Asawa, who shipped Spartan Poker’s Mega Stack, and Nikhil Arora, who clinched PokerBaazi’s The Endeavour title were among the big winners of the night. Here’s a quick recap of the action that unfolded yesterday.
This tourney on PokerBaazi had some top pros battling it out. Out of the 332 total entries, the top 36 places made it in the money. The min-cash stood at ₹8,160. Nikhil Arora aka ‘blastupinside’ and Laksh Pal Singh aka ‘boomtlt23’ ended the seven-hour long tourney in a two-way deal. Arora took home a pay cheque of ₹2,26,000, while Singh walked away with ₹2,25,000. Mystery player ‘bencb789’ finished third and cashed ₹1,20,000.
Nitin Arora finished at the ninth for ₹26,520. Ashish Munot finished 12th for ₹19,320. Online reg Arjanveer Singh Chadha busted at the 16th spot for ₹13,560. Atishay Samuel busted at the 29th spot for ₹8,160, Sahil Mahboobani finished 36th for ₹8,160.
Players who left empty handed in this tourney were Siddhanth Kripalani at the 41st spot, Md Zeeshan with six re-entries at the 42nd spot, Shashank Desai at the 45th place, Vishnu Khandelwal at the 53rd place, Sanat Mehrotra at the 54th place, two time IOPC leaderboard winner, Bhanu Prakash with eight re-entries at the 26th place and Mohit Mehta at the 69th place busted without making any money at this tourney.
Spartan Poker’s staple The Race event was a star-studded tourney with top pros slogging hard. The event witnessed 425 entries and the min-cash stood at ₹4,657. Top 39 places were paid at this tourney. Mystery player ‘vedabhambhani’ topped the table and added ₹1,35,337 to his bankroll. Sanat Mehrotra finished second for ₹89,977; anonymous player ‘OfcourseOfcourse’ was the second runner-up for ₹65,812.
Vivek Singh busted at the 16th spot for ₹8,302, Ronuk Lekhraj finished 25th for ₹5,940. IOPC January 2021 Mastermind and Millionaire Legends winner Aniket Waghmare finished 27th for ₹5,940. Mohit Mehta busted at the 71st spot, Sahil Mahboobani left at the 76th spot, IOPC July 2021 Legends runner-up Arsh Grover left empty handed at the 77th spot.
Mega Stack on Spartan Poker surpassed the initial guarantee by a slim margin. The 563 entries generated a final prize pool of ₹16,89,000. The top 55 places were paid and the min-cash stood at ₹8,276.
Akshay Asawa aka ‘powershell’ shipped the tourney and added an impressive ₹3,27,666 to his bankroll. Mystery player ‘DONKT@RD’ finished at the runner-up spot for ₹2,07,747 and Hitesh Batra aka ‘hitesh bhai’ finished third for ₹1,50,152.
Sagar Choudhury busted at the sixth place for ₹73,978. IOPC reg Rajeev Kumar finished at the 21st place for ₹15,032. Ankit Wadhawan finished 29th for ₹11,654. IOPC July 2021 The Crown runner-up Aditya Agarwal busted at the 36th place for ₹9,965 and IOPC July 2021 Legends runner-up Arsh Grover busted at the 42nd place for ₹8,276 at this tourney.
Vivek Singh finished at the 57th place, Manish Lakhotia busted at the 59th place, IOPC July 2021 leaderboard winner Anuj Yadav finished at the 69th place, Bhanu Prakash finished at the 77th spot, Sahil Mahboobani busted at the 83rd spot, Siddhanth Kripalani busted at the 107th spot and IOPC January 2021 Main Event winner Laksh Pal Singh busted at the 120th place for no money.
