It was initially conceived in 2006, by Genting Singapore and was valued at SG$6.59 billion. The construction began in 2007, and by the time it was completed in 2010, it was the third most expensive building ever constructed.
RWS houses two mega attractions, the region’s first-and-only Universal Studios theme park and the Marine Life Park comprising the world’s largest aquariums, the S.E.A. Aquarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark. It also has a Maritime Experiential Museum, an award-winning destination spa, six unique hotels, the Resorts World Convention Center, celebrity chef restaurants, and specialty retail outlets.
