Vietnam is emerging as the top poker hub in the Asian sub-continent. Poker is legally permitted in Vietnam. The Bridge and Poker Association, along with many cities and provinces, have received a license from the Ministry of Home Affairs to establish their own clubs. That being said, only poker tournaments were permitted, while cash games were prohibited earlier. However, in recent times, poker rooms offer cash games under their tournament business models. Although the game is legally allowed, there are certain laws that are based on the stakes. Only games up to certain stakes are permitted, subject to local regulations. Interestingly, Vietnam is a country where locals are allowed to enter casinos in two locations, Phu Quoc and Van Don which is situated in the northern province of Quang Ninh.
