A trailblazing Thursday night saw several prominent names in the poker industry grabbing bundles of cash prizes. Spartan Poker’s Grand Poker Series (GPS) hosted High Roller INR 60L GTD, PokerBaazi’s PMVS Special Edition is currently underway, Godfather was the headlining tourney on Adda52 and PokerStars Highroller promised INR 15 Lakh in prize pool. Spartan Poker’s Thursday flagship tourney GPS #21 Ultron INR 25 Lakh GTD drew 668 runners for a buy-in of INR 4,400. Creating a slightly bigger prize pool of INR 26.72 Lakh, top 63 players earned a paycheck. Powering through the field to take home the valuable title was circuit popular Sahil Agarwal aka ‘Variance’ while his opponent ‘Potato Player’ settled in the runner-up position.
The biggest attraction last night across the virtual felts was GPS #22 High Roller INR 60 Lakh GTD that kicked off at 9 pm on Spartan Poker. With a buy-in as high as INR 27,000 the event attracted 225 entries. Money reached the top 27 places who walked out with at least INR 60K. Powering through the field to claim a 7-digit score was ‘Tiger10’ who defeated Sahil Chutani aka ‘$lim$hady19’ in heads-up. The anonymous champion took home the title of the second biggest event in the GPS series!
Your favourite PMVS series is underway on PokerBaazi and last night hosted PMVS #7 INR 5 Lakh GTD with a buy-in of INR 2,750 pulling out 169 entries. Defeating Shashank Desai aka ‘indianrat’ in heads-up was online grinder Rony Chowdhury aka ‘bisadip176’ who added INR 1.24 Lakh to his poker bankroll while Desai earned the runner payout of INR 87.15K.
Thursday headlining tournament on PokerBaazi was PMVS #8 HR Summit INR 30 Lakh GTD which saw 296 runners taking their seat to hunt for the prize money. At least INR 20K was profited by the top 36 players but the one to take home the biggest chunk of the prize pool was well-known circuit grinder Sahil Mahboobani aka ‘ImHighishove’ who knocked out Pankaj Kothari aka ‘boomshankara’ in heads-up for INR 6.63 Lakh in cash prize.
Circuit grinder Alok Birewar aka ‘APB1989’ took down Thursday marquee event on Adda52 Godfather INR 30 Lakh GTD. A total of 607 hopefuls entered the field out of which only top 63 claimed a share from INR 30,35,008 prize pool. Birewar railed out Danish Shaikh aka ‘King0fMerge’ in heads-up and secured INR 6.34 Lakh for his victory while the latter walked out with INR 4.94 Lakh.
Another attraction on Adda52 was Hexagram INR 3 Lakh GTD that fetched 147 entries. Top 15 spots added INR 4.5K in minimum cash to their bankroll while Goonjan Mall aka ‘gmtesting’ concluded the 5+ hour grinding session, taking home INR 71K in prize money. Mall’s opponent ‘jimmyadams’ secured the runner-up position and INR 69K for his efforts.
PokerStars hosted Highroller INR 15 Lakh GTD last night which logged in 221 entries for a buy-in of INR 7,700. Generating INR 15.47 Lakh in prize pool, top 34 places earned at least INR 13K. After hours of intense grinding, the last man standing was Rajat Sharma aka ‘sharabikebabi’ who eliminated ‘AceofD!@mond’ in heads-up for INR 3.03 Lakh in prize money. The latter banked INR 2.23 Lakh.
