Thursday Round Up: Arun Sriram Took Down Big Game For A Whopping 14,00,000


Top poker platforms like Spartan Poker, Adda52, PokerBaazi, and PokerStars conducted high-value tournaments yesterday. Adda52 conducted the Big Game which was shipped by Arun Sriram. Making hay while the sun shines is what Sriram did as he grabbed truckloads of cash. This pro added ₹14,00,000 to his bankroll. Big Game – ₹50 Lakh GTD

The Adda52 Big Game was shipped by poker pro Arun Sriram aka ‘runyrules’ who cashed a gigantic figure of ₹14,00,000. The runner-up in this event was online reg Sanat Mehrotra aka ‘mehro2511’ who took ₹8,40,000 in prize money.

The tournament had 182 entries and the top 19 players were paid a min-cash of ₹50,000. The players who made it in the money in this ₹27,500 buy-in event were Vivek Singh (5th, ₹3,12,500), Vishnu Khandelwal (15th, ₹72,500), Myron Pereira (17th, ₹50,000) among others.

Highroller – ₹10 Lakh GTD

PokerStars hosted the ₹7,700 buy-in Highroller tournament. The event had 181 players in all and the top 23 players were paid a min-cash of ₹15,344. The advertised guarantee of this tournament was ₹10 Lakh but it was surpassed and a new prize pool of ₹12,67,000 was formed. This tournament was shipped by mystery player ‘nikunjgarg98’ who took home ₹2,51,346 in prize money.

Prominent players who tried their hand at this tournament but could not make it in the money were Arun Sriram (28th), Arsh Grover (52nd), Anirban Das fired two bullets (54th), Vishnu Khandelwal fired two bullets (60th), Manish Lakhotia fired four bullets (72nd), Goonjan Mall (169th) among others.

PokerBaazi’s staple tournament, The Summit was conquered by a mystery player ‘barbaad777.’ This anonymous player took home ₹4,64,000 in prize money. The tournament had 280 entries and the top 36 players were paid a min-cash of ₹14,280. The advertised guarantee of this ₹8,250 buy-in event was ₹15 Lakh but it was crushed and the final prize pool stood at ₹21,00,000.
