The Monster Madness Master: PokerSaint Player of The Month Rishab Malik

As the poker scene in India grows, several newer players are emerging. One such player who has performed exceptionally well during the last month is – Rishab Malik. The player managed to ship the Monster Madness tourney on PokerSaint for two consecutive weeks, making him the ideal pick for Player of the Month on PokerSaint.

Here’s a candid conversation with Malik, who shares with us all things poker:

You have been selected as the Player of the Month on PokerSaint. How do you feel about that?

It has been a great honour. I am really happy about being selected on PokerSaint.

You’ve been a regular player on PokerSaint, what’s it that you like the most about the platform?

You’ve played a total of 14 tournaments during the last month on PokerSaint alone. You are also quite active on other platforms as well. Tell us a little about your grinding schedule.

I just try to give a lot of my time to poker and try to play as many games as I can. I usually grind five days a week, from eight in the evening to whatever time the poker gods allow me to be in the mix.

You have an average win percentage of over 28% and about 64 ITM finishes during the last month on PokerSaint. That’s amazing considering you’ve only played 14 tournaments. What is the one strategy that you use in most of your games?

There is no particular strategy I follow. I just try to stick to my game and practise what I learn off the felts in my study sessions.

What was it like to win the Monster Madness on PokerSaint? 

It was a great feeling. I won it for two consecutive weeks, so taking down the biggest MTT on any site is a good feeling.

What is your one poker mantra that you religiously follow or believe in?

You cannot control how you run however you can control how you play, and  IT IS WHAT IT IS!

Tell us about the story behind ‘NoChanc3’.

Initially, I mostly used my name as my screen name. But when I started changing and newer sites emerged, I wanted a different screen name. I thought one day I will be so good at my game that most of the players will stand no chance against me and there it was – ‘NoChanc3.’

Can you share one of your most memorable FT memory?

I can’t recall any one such memory since I usually play a lot of tables. But every time when I see that there are just a few players left, I just try to take every spot I can to win that FT.

How long have you been playing poker? 

I have been playing poker professionally for around 2 years now.

Describe what poker is to you in 3 words. 

Freedom, Love and Happiness.

Where do you see yourself in the next few years? 

Probably winning a few bracelets.
