Team Mahi Opens Up About Excali’s Move To Team Samurai Esports

Karan ‘Excali’ Mhaswadkar, a long time Valorant player for Team Mahi, left the Indian Valorant community stunned as he joined rival team Samurai Esports. The news left many long-time fans of Team Mahi in a state of disbelief as Mhaswadkar was one of the best players in the team. However, according to recent news reports, even the team Mahi’s management found out about the move along with the rest of the community.

Mhaswadkar’s relationship with the team goes all the way back to when it was first known as Velocity Esports. In a social media post by Simar ‘psy’ Sethi, who is an active member of Samurai Esports and also a close friend of Mhaswadkar, announced that Excali had already joined the team.

When asked about the situation, Team Mahi revealed that Excali was approached more than once by Samurai Esports, asking him to join their team. And while they did mention that once a player follows all the clauses of player buyout he would be permitted to leave. The news of Exacli’s leaving came as a shock to them.

The management did contact Mhaswadkar about the post and have not received any response from him. Since Mhaswadkar moving breached his contract with team Mahi, there will be certain legal actions taken against him. The management also revealed that they are in talks with their legal team on the necessary steps that need to be taken.

While Karan ‘Excali’ Mhaswadkar was a valuable member of the team, it has been assured that his exit from Team Mahi’s Valorant roster will not affect their performance. The team will continue participating in upcoming Valorant tournaments. Although the situation still needs to be resolved, hopefully, there will be an understanding conclusion to all this.
