SVS Day 5: Manmeet Oberai takes down Millionaire Lite


The Spartan Value Series (SVS) hosted on Spartan Poker ended its five-day fever yesterday. The low-mid stakes players have been crowding the platforms ever since its commencement on 18 December promising INR 91+ Lakhs GTD! And that’s not it, the SVS Millionaire Lite title was also seized on the final day of the series. And, here is a complete summary of SVS Day 5

SVS Event #21 INR 50k GTD

The final day hosted its first event attracting a pretty good field of 321 players for a buy-in of INR 165. Eventually, before the tournament came to an end, the top 23 places received a paycheck, a share from the prize pool. The winner’s title belonged to Bhavin Jungi aka ‘NA@Gaming’ after a heads-up deal. With Jungi accumulating a larger stack of 526k pushes ‘TheG0dath3r’ ended up in the runner-up position.

SVS Event #22 INR 1.4 Lakhs GTD

Powering through a field of 379 entries, each of whom paid INR 385 buy-in was ‘mohitbhatia’ who defeated online regular Ram Kakkar aka ‘TheLagLawyer’ in heads-up. However, the second tournament of the day came with a bigger guarantee and gradually 31 players benefitted from the prize pool. The tournament ended in level 32 and Kakkar couldn’t dominate with his pair of Sixes over ‘mohitbhatia’ showing his pocket Kings.

SVS Event #23 INR 2.25 Lakhs GTD

239 players entered the tournament for a buy-in of INR 770 and only 23 walked away with a min-cash of IRN 2,610. Claiming the first-place prize money was ‘sakerr’ who pushed away ‘nirajpow’ in the runner-up position after a heads-up deal. The anonymous player ‘sakerr’ walked away with the biggest chunk of the prize pool and boosted his poker bankroll.

SVS Event #24 Electric Big Daddy INR 5 Lakhs

The SVS day ended with the final and the biggest guaranteed tournament which assured INR 5 Lakhs and buy-in jumped to become INR 990. Recording a massive number of 508 players entering the tournament. Powering through this field was Ishan Sharma aka ‘Ishan2203’ who captured the title and walked away with a healthy sum of prize money after the players ended with a 4-way deal. And Sharma carrying the largest stack of 2 million was announced the official winner.

SVS – Millionaire Lite

The SVS Millionaire Lite INR 50 Lakhs GTD lured a massive number of 2,966 and wrapped up Day 1C yesterday with another set of 1,289 players who entered for a buy-in of INR 1,650. Amassing the largest stack was ‘abhinavgargg’ with 2,47,509 following his heels was circuit grinder Goonjan Mall aka ‘gmtesting’ with 2,40,163 chips.

Day 2 of the multi-flight tournament saw Manmeet Oberai, dominating this field and adding the biggest champion title yesterday night walking away with all the glory. Oberai playing under the username ‘fishlover’ knocked out ‘DevilHorn’ in heads-up holding his higher two pairs of Queens and Fives.
