By now the country knows that Spartan Poker comes up with varying tournaments each month and right now the Spartan Value Series (SVS) is underway. Already three days into the series which promises INR 91+ Lakhs gained immense popularity. And that’s not it, SVS is here with the biggest guaranteed tournament and the most awaited Millionaire Lite INR 50 Lakhs GTD! And here is a complete summary of SVS Day 3…
The first tournament of the day attracted a decent number of 178 entries for a buy-in of INR 165. A few hours into the tournament saw a small chunk of 15 players profiting from the prize pool for a min-cash INR 720. The biggest share of the same was taken away by online grinder Monish Kumar aka ‘Monish165’ who bagged the first-place prize money. The tournament halted after the player settled for a 5-way deal and with Kumar carrying the largest stack of 102k adds another feather to his poker cap.
Dominating a field of 115 entries was ‘sabretooth’ who strengthened his bankroll after the players settle for a 3-way deal. The champion was followed by ‘MAMA04’ in the second place and the winner of Event #11 (read above) Monish Kumar aka ‘Monish1965’ in the third position. Before the tournament came to a standstill, the top 13 places received a slice from the prize pool.
A field of 128 entries registered to this mid-week afternoon tournament and as the tournament progressed, the top 13 of them were paid out, each receiving a min-cash of INR 1,025. Online crusher Induprakash Mishra aka ‘supee’ was over the moon with this victory, earning the top prize. As for the runner-up, it was ‘Shellay7771’ who lost in heads-up.
The tournament ended in level 30, ‘Shellay7771’ with Th Qh put his entire stack in the middle on pre-flop. And Mishra hit a flush on the river while holding Ac 8c when the board ran 2c 2s Jc 7d Kc, thus railing out his opponent in the runner-up position to add another feather to his poker career.
INR 880 was what each entry paid up to play in the fourth tournament which lured 143 entries who registered last evening and from them, the top 15 players received payouts of a minimum of INR 2,700. The anonymous player ‘vn2016’ took away the limelight after winning the tournament and pushing ‘No Hope’ in the second position and ‘varun5379’ in the third place after the players struck a 3-way deal.
Again, this has been a regular feature of the SVS series so far. Hi-Fi came with a huge guarantee of INR 5 Lakhs attracting 258 players, each one of whom paid a buy-in of INR 1,650. Only a small chunk of 24 players profited from the prize pool with a min-cash of INR 5,000. Powering through this field was ‘FunkeyFox’ to seize the winner’s prize money.
The tournament came to an end in level 36 as the players settled for a 3-way deal and with ‘FunkeyFox’ accumulating the largest stack of 1 million was announced the official winner. Following his heels were ‘Good man’ in the second position and in the third place was ‘Tiger10’.
The most awaited and the lowest buy-in Millionaire is here with its December edition attracting a huge crowd before the year ends! Millionaire Lite has knocked on the door assuring INR 50 Lakhs. A multi-flight tournament running between 20 – 22 December with starting three flights until the Main Event Day 2 crowns the ultimate champion!
Yesterday observed a total of 960 hopefuls taking their seats but the one claiming the day after building up the largest stack was a prominent face across the leading online felts Arjanveer Chadha aka ‘bazzingaa’ bagging 2,44,323 chips followed by ‘uttu0501’ with 2,17,547 chips.
