Sunday Roundup: Rishab Malik Clinches The Millionaire Title For An Impressive 13.62 Lakh


Sunday night on the virtual poker felts was an action-packed affair. With some of the biggest tournaments happening, the online poker platforms were flooded with the top pros from the country battling it out for title spots. Let’s have a look at what went down on Sunday night:

The Millionaire Day 2 – ₹1 Crore GTD

The Millionaire series on Spartan Poker concluded its Day 2 on Sunday with a bang. The 259 surviving entries battled it out on Day 2 for the prestigious Millionaire title. The top 255 places made the money and took home a min-cash of ₹10,400.

The Millionaire tournament ended with a two-way deal between Rishab Malik aka ‘NoChanc3’ and mystery player ‘HatodaTyagi.’ Malik took home ₹13,62,234 in prize winning, while ‘HatodaTyagi’ walked away with ₹13,18,765.

Sanish Chhabra finished at the fourth place for ₹6,72,000. Poker coach Abhishek Goindi, who made it to day 2 with two entries, finished at the 8th and 16th position for ₹1,66,500 and ₹75,000 respectively. IOPC Highroller winner, Mohit Bhati finished at the 21st spot for ₹55,000. Arjanveer Singh Chadha finished at the 25th place for ₹45,500. Ankit Wadhawan busted at the 27th place for ₹45,500, Manish Lakhotia busted at the 37th spot for ₹33,200, Gaurav Sood finished at the 39th place for ₹33,200, WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer busted at the 46th spot for ₹27,600. IOPC July 2021 commentator Kanchan Sharma’s two entries finished 56th and 57th for ₹22,100 each.

Myron Periera busted at the 68th spot for ₹22,100, Srihari Bang finished 75th for ₹18,800, IOPC January 2021 Main Event winner Laksh Pal Singh’s two entries finished at 78th and 85th spot for ₹18,800 each. Sumit Sapra finished 79th for ₹18,800, Vinay Rajpal finished 82nd for ₹18,800, Dhaval Mudgal finished 90th for ₹18,800, Aditya Agarwal finished 109th and 111th for ₹16,200 each, Gutshot’s April Edition cover boy Siddharth Karia finished at the 159th spot for ₹12,400, Vivek Singh busted at the 177th spot for ₹12,400, two-time IOPC leaderboard champion Bhanu Prakash finished 185th for ₹11,300, Avadh Shah busted 203rd for ₹11,300, Adda52 Game ambassador, Kunal Patni finished 249th for ₹10,400 and Gutshot’s Players of the Month Anirban Das finished 254th for ₹10,400. IOPC July leaderboard topper, Anuj Yadav bubbled at this tourney at the 256th spot.

Money Heist – ₹8 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker’s Money Heist was an action-packed tournament. It witnessed 739 entries crush the initial guarantee and the final prize pool stood at ₹8,12,900. The top 71 places at this tourney were paid a min-cash of ₹3,089.

Mystery player ‘nirmal512’ topped the table and added ₹1,56,889 to his bankroll. At the second spot, online reg Chirag Sodha took home a pay cheque of ₹98,848.

Other players who made in the money at this tourney included Gutshot Magazine’s April 2021 cover star Siddharth Karia at the 33rd spot for ₹4,064, Anirban Das at the 43rd place for ₹3,495, Sumit Sapra at the 46th place for ₹3,495 and Kunal Patni at the 48th place for ₹3,495. 

Players like Sunday SuperStack winner Amit Kaushik at the 78th spot, Mohit Mehta at the 83rd spot, Myron Pereira at the 91st spot, Amit Gehani at the 114th spot and Ankit Wadhawan at the 157th spot among others busted with no money.

Sunday Superstack – ₹40 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker’s Sunday Superstack was one of the most rewarding tourneys of the night. Out of the 411 entries at this tourney, the top 39 places managed to make it in the money. The advertised guarantee was crushed to generate a final prize pool of ₹41,10,000 and the min-cash stood at ₹28,359.

Amit Kaushik aka ‘deshominisation’ shipped the tourney for a handsome ₹8,24,055. Srihari Bang aka ‘bangbang99’ was the runner-up who had a pay day of ₹5,47,863.

Anmol Mehta finished seventh for ₹1,40,973, Anirbaan Das finished 10th for ₹71,925, IOPC Legends second runner-up Sumit Sapra busted in the 11th spot for ₹71,925, IOPC July 2021 commentator Kanchan Sharma finished at the 18th spot for ₹44,388, IOPC July 2021 leaderboard winner Anuj Yadav busted at the 23rd place for ₹40,278, Sanish Chhabra busted at the 32nd place for ₹28,359 and online reg Abhishek Goindi busted at the 39th place for ₹28,359.Myron Pereira bubbled at this tourney at the 40th spot.

Sunday Special – ₹18 Lakh GTD

Sunday Special on PokerStars was a progressive knock-out tournament with a buy-in of ₹5,500. The 255 entries at this tourney slogged it out for the top spots. However, only the top 27 places made the money and the min-cash at this tourney was ₹12,395.

Mandar Madaye aka ‘Mama4000’ and Nitin Arora aka ‘Checkshoveit’ ended the tournament in a two-way deal. Madaye walked away for ₹1,97,463, while Arora walked away for ₹1,97,462. Ankit Wadhawan busted at the 12th place for ₹20,490, Rubin Labroo finished 15th for ₹17,329, Kritagya Sharma finished 20th for ₹14,656 and Shagun Jain busted at the 26th place for ₹12,395.

Harsh Dembla busted at the 40th place for no money. Kunal Patni at the 46th place, Sagar Choudhury at the 52nd place, Ashish Ahuja at the 56th place and Mithun Mahesh at the 115th place busted without making it in the money.

Sunday Highroller – ₹15 Lakh

PokerStars’ staple Sunday Highroller was as usual one of the most thrilling tourneys of the night. The tournament witnessed 124 entries. The top 15 places finished in the money and the min-cash stood at ₹32,004.

Anirban Das busted at the second runner-up spot for ₹1,94,752, Harsh Dembla finished fifth for ₹1,15,362, Mithun Mahesh finished at the 11th place for ₹35,992 and Manish Lakhotia busted at the 12th place for ₹35,992.

Kunal Patni at the 29th place, Ashish Ahuja at the 37th place, Laksh Pal Singh at the 49th place, Sanish Chhabra at the 51st place and Ankit Wadhawan at the 88th place busted at this tourney with no money.

BSS SuperStack – ₹20 Lakh GTD

Vaibhav Sharma finished fourth for ₹1,53,000 at this tourney. Ankit Wadhawan busted at the 8th place for ₹61,370, Rubin Labroo finished 13th for ₹27,480, Sanat Mehrotra finished 18th for ₹23,590, Shashank Desai finished 24th for ₹18,550, Mithun Mahesh finished at the 25th place for ₹16,260, Siddhanth Kripalani finished 29th for ₹14,200, Anirban Das finished at the 31st place for ₹14,200 and Tanmay Benara finished 35th for ₹14,200.

Players like Kunal Patni at the 58th spot, Manish Lakhotia at the 60th spot, IOPC July 2021 commentator Goonjan Mall at the 63rd spot and Arjanveer Singh Chadha at the 73rd place busted without making any money.
