Sunday Roundup: Iyer, Ahuja, Anandan win AOPS titles!


A splendid Sunday night across the leading poker sites of the country that concluded a bunch of tournaments and series. Yesterday recorded a surge of players and the guarantees sky high, Spartan Poker hosted The April edition’s Millionaire Legends simultaneously running beside other features. PokerBaazi Monthly Value Series (PMVS) wrapped up yesterday and Adda52 hosted the Mega Suits INR 60 Lakhs GTD Finale! And here is a complete summary of Sunday majors and their winners…

The grinding session that began at 8 pm continued till 6:47 am and the one to come out on the top was last week ReCharge winner Gaurav Gupta aka ‘VantaBlack’ who captured the first-place prize money after railing out ‘zingoba’ in heads-up

This led to the creation of a slightly bigger prize pool which was shared among the top 55 players. Anuj Kodam aka ‘aatmaan108’ defeated ‘violator’ in heads-up to bag the first-place cash prize and the winner’s title at 5:07 am.

It was the final day of the monthly value series on PokerBaazi and event #22 The Monster INR 10 Lakhs GTD pulled out a total of 412 entries who paid INR 3,300. Eventually, the prize pool of INR 12.36 Lakhs was shared among the top 45 places and the one to take away the biggest chunk was online grinder Sreekanth Narayan aka ‘n0thing’ who defeated Rohit Behal aka ‘Kudos0505’ in heads-up to secure INR 2.59 Lakhs in prize money.

Coming out on top was ‘ender’ who secured the first-place prize money of INR 8.73 Lakhs while his opponent Shravan Chhabria aka ‘FishStars’ settled in the runner-up position for INR 6.12 Lakhs.

Powering through the field was ‘suneethkalmady’ who bagged the first-place prize money of INR 1.76 Lakh and Nadeem Basha aka ‘SpadeHunter’ earned the second-place payout of INR 1.19 Lakh.

Last week, Iyer shipped three tournaments and last night he added another title while his opponent Nishant Sharma aka ‘DoJingBULLETS’ secured INR 7.27 Lakhs for finishing in the runner-up position.

AOPS Big Slick

Sunday feature AOPS Big Slick INR 20 Lakhs GTD registered a total of 1,101 entries on Adda52 which eventually created INR 24.77 Lakhs in prize pool. One of the leading names in the industry Ashish Ahuja aka ‘rocky3705’ took down the event after knocking Sanjeeta Kumari aka ‘realkidsanju’ in heads-up for INR 5.47 Lakhs in cash prize while his opponent settled for INR 3.22 Lakhs.

The biggest winner on Adda52 last night was Arunkumar Anandan aka ‘arunk8186’ who defeated ‘Nixiepixie’ in heads-up and added INR 15.74 Lakhs in cash prize.
