Sriharsha Doddapaneni Ships IOPC Highroller, Wins 21.5 Lakh!

What a lineup we had in tonight’s live streamed featured tournament on Spartan Poker. As part of the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) of Jan 2021, a number of tournaments are having their final tables live streamed and today was the first of them – IOPC #52 Highroller INR 1 Crore GTD!

The bulk of the action took place yesterday with 186 entries paying INR 55,000 each to participate in this massive event. We had nearly 8 hours of play before the final table was set, with Sriharsha Doddapaneni in the chip lead, playing under the nickname ‘Potato Player’. Considering his multiple achievements in online as well as live poker, he was in fact the favourite to go on to ship this featured event!

Right enough, it was Sriharsha who went on to take down the title. No surprises at all, considering his experience and accomplishments so far. He was pretty even in chips in heads-up with his friend Shardul Parthasarathi aka ‘Faucet Failure’ and they decided to cut a deal, with Sriharsha ending champion and taking home INR 21.55 Lakh as prize money.

Final Table Recap

As expected, the two shortest stacks were the first to bust out of the event, with Pulkit Goyal busting to Nikita Luther and Anita Hassanandani being knocked out by Shardul Parthasarathi, the latter losing A4 to AA in a pre-flop all-in situation. They bagged INR 5.35 and INR 6.9 Lakh in prizes for finishing in 6th and 5th place respectively.

Spartan Poker Pro and WSOP bracelet winner Nikita Luther was another big name on the FT and she headed out in 4th place, bagging INR 8.6 Lakh for this effort. Soon after her, Sagar Choudhury ‘strangeplay’ was knocked out and he was awarded INR 10.5 Lakh for his 3rd place finish.

Given that the two heads-up finalists are friends off the felts, they decided to cut a quick deal and since Sriharsha was ahead at the time, he was the official champion, taking home INR 21.55 Lakh as the top prize. In addition, he takes a seat into the Masters Table which will see the winners of all the IOPC features battle it out together after the series. As for Shardul, he was awarded INR 17.44 Lakh as his part of the deal.

Final payouts:

  • 1st place – Sriharsha Doddapaneni ‘Potato Player’ – INR 21,55,750
  • 2nd place – Shardul Parthasarathi ‘Faucet Failure’ – INR 17,44,249
