Spartan Poker DeepStack Series Kicks Off With 4 Side Events


Following the successful tournament series on TheSpartanPoker this time the poker site has come with the inaugural Spartan DeepStack Series with 22 tournaments over the course of five days with a guarantee of ?1.42 crores. Yesterday saw the first day of the series with four side events. Along with the huge guarantee tournaments there is another ?10 Lakhs leaderboard which includes ?5 Lakhs to the leaderboard winner.

Today is Day 2 with another four side events where the series also includes ?22,000 Pot-Limit Omaha HighRoller tournament guaranteeing ?15 Lakhs, ?27,500 HighRoller tournament guaranteeing ?25 Lakhs and ?11,000 Main Event winner guaranteeing ?25 Lakhs. Let’s take a quick look of Day 1 of Spartan DeepStack Series:-

DeepStack Series #1 $770 (150K GTD) RE

The very first event of the series kicked off with 354 entries making a prizepool of $2,47,800. Top 30 players took share of the prizepool with a min cash of $1,858. Coming on top was Jairam ‘iamamateur1’ Parab to take down the first title of DeepStack Series for $41,704.

27-year old Parab is an engineer and said, “I loved the deepstack format because there is plenty of room for creative play. Final table was exciting. I wish TheSpartanPoker brings more of this format in future.” Parab defeated January, 2017 Millionaire Gaurav ‘NuttieGuttie’ Jain in the heads-up round. Jain took $31,210.

Jain said, “It is great series started by TheSpartanPoker especially for players like us who like deep structures. I am quite happy with my first day results of finishing runners up in the inaugural event and 13th place in the 3rd event. Was running good in the 4th event too when my bottom 2 on the flop got crushed by the set. TheSpartanPoker is coming up with some great tourneys which will definitely pull the PokerStars players here.”

DeepStack Series #2 $1,100 (200K GTD) RE

The second event drew 323 entries and made up a prizepool of $3,23,000. With a min cash of $2,907 top 27 players took a share of the prizepool. It was Chemical trader Vivek ‘Calculator18’ Karwa to outlast these entries to win the title for $71,060.

‘Calculator18’ battled with ‘spazzqueen’ in the final round who was eliminated in the second place for $48,127.

DeepStack Seris#3 $1,650 (250K GTD) RE

The next event attracted 296 players to create a prizepool of $4,44,000 where top 27 players took a share of the prizepool with a min cash of $3,996. ‘jhonnysins’ outlasted ‘FISHARK9’ in the heads-up battle to claim the title. ‘jhonnysins’ took home $97,680 while ‘FISHARK9’ collected $66,156.

DeepStack Series #4 $3,300 (750K GTD) RE

The day concluded with the side event #4 with 323 entries generating a prizepool of ?9,69,000. Top 30 players collected a share of the prizepool with a min cash of ?7,268. ‘maakaphone’ took down the title for ?2,03,490 defeating ‘AcesHeart’ in the heads-up battle who collected $1,42,443.
