Skyesports is kicking off 2022 with a bang and has announced the return of the Skyesports Grand Slam featuring a $40,000 prize pool. It’s split between two of India’s favorite gaming titles: VALORANT and Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The competition is presented by AMD and Loco, who are the broadcasting partners.
The open-for-all tournament will take place in February and March as the top teams battle against rising underdogs for a shot at glory. Registrations will begin from 15th January 2022 on the official Skyesports’ website.
“We are beginning 2022 with one of our oldest IPs, the Skyesports Grand Slam. We are thrilled to include VALORANT this year as the game continues to grow in popularity in the region. We are also returning to BGMI in the Skyesports Grand Slam. The 2022 Asian Games are coming up and we are continuing our commitment to provide a platform for underdogs and top teams alike to hone their skills,” said Shiva Nandy, the CEO of Skyesports.
The finals for BGMI in the Skyesports Grand Slam 2022 will feature six invited teams based on their performance in past events. This includes the top two teams each from the Skyesports Grand Slam season one, Skyesports Championship 3.0, and the Skyesports Mobile Open. The teams are as follows:
Skyesports Grand Slam 2020
Skyesports Championship 3.0
Skyesports Mobile Open
The Skyesports Grand Slam will be live-streamed on YouTube and Loco. Make sure to follow the Skyesports Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts to not miss any updates.
