Singapore Gaming company Razer‘s founder and CEO, Min-Liang-Tan, in a tweet asked if he could extend his help to India when the nation has been struggling with its healthcare infrastructure. After Singapore sent oxygen, the gaming company stepped forward to help with masks.
India has been seeing more than 3 Lakh new coronavirus cases everyday. There is an immense strain on India’s healthcare infrastructure; shortage of hospital beds, oxygen, among other things have been reported across the country. Many countries across the globe are stepping forward to help India.
One such country that came forward was Singapore. India’s oxygen crises have been making headlines over the past few days. Singapore has helped India with four cryogenic oxygen containers sent via an Indian Air Force aircraft, from Changi Airport in Singapore.
Are surgical masks in need? I can see if we have some we can spare from our manufacturing line in Singapore to send over to India.

The tweet by Singapore’s Diplomatic Mission saw many comments and retweets. However, one comment that caught our eye was a comment from Min-Liang-Tan, CEO and founder of gaming peripherals manufacturing company Razer. In his comment on the tweet, he asked, “Are surgical masks in need? I can see if we have some we can spare from our manufacturing line in Singapore to send over to India.”
When the world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic last year and was running short of PPE kits and masks, the gaming company had also announced that it would be turning one of its manufacturing units to manufacture masks.
Apart from Singapore, many other countries across the globe including the US, UK, Australia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Russia, and even China have come forward to extended their support to India in times of such crisis by sending oxygen tanks and cylinders, PPE kits, ventilators, rapid diagnostic test kits, and other essential medical equipment as well as raw materials for the effective production of the Covishield vaccine.
