Saturday Round Up: Purohit Turns Biggest Winner Of The Night


The 2021 World Series Of Poker (WSOP) is going on and several high profile poker players have already reached Las Vegas. But 2021 WSOP did not deter the online poker platforms from hosting their marquee events. Spartan Poker, PokerBaazi, Adda52 and PokerStars hosted their flagship tourneys yesterday. Anant Purohit was one of the well-known veterans from the industry who shipped the 6-MAX tournament. Here’s a recap of the action that went down yesterday. 

6 – MAX – ₹12.5 Lakh GTD

The 6–MAX tournament on Spartan Poker was hosted yesterday. The event was shipped by online reg Anant Purohit aka ‘Prometheius.’ Purohit took home an impressive ₹5,00,000 in prize money. The runner-up was Ram Kakkar aka ‘JohnnieRunner–Runner’ who received a pay cheque of ₹2,36,437. The event had 291 entries and the top 25 players made it in the money. A min-cash of ₹8,730 was paid in this ₹5,500 buy-in event. The advertised guarantee was surpassed and the final prize pool stood at ₹14,55,000.

Nano Excalibur – ₹10 Lakh GTD

The Nano Excalibur tournament on Adda52 had 397 entries in total. The ₹2,500 buy-in event was shipped by an anonymous player who goes by the moniker ‘tcs41194.’ This player took home ₹2,62,500 in prize money. The runner-up was Aman Chauhan aka ‘GiggsyBet’ who received a pay cheque of ₹1,50,000. The top 43 players made it in the money. A min-cash of ₹4,500 was paid.

Blockbuster – ₹6 Lakh GTD

PokerBaazi’s Blockbuster was a ₹6 Lakh guarantee event. The tournament had 293 entries in total. The top 36 players made it in the money in this ₹2,200 buy-in event. A min-cash of ₹4,080 was paid. The event was a deal between Mayank Maruka aka ‘Newsolidcash’ and Vikas Yadav aka ‘nohomejerome.’ Maruka cashed ₹1,18,000 in prize money while Yadav took home ₹1,08,000.

  •         Places paid: 36
  •         Min-Cash: ₹4,080

Eliminator – ₹5 Lakh GTD

The Eliminator on PokerStars was a ₹5 Lakh guarantee PKO event. The buy-in stood at  ₹1,750. The tournament had 300 entries in total. The top 31 players made it in the money. A min-cash of ₹2,700 was paid. The tournament was a deal between two mystery players ‘jivrajss’ and ‘RAV1619.’ Both the players cashed ₹43,645 in prize money. Anonymous player ‘jivrass’ received ₹40,191 in bounty money while ‘RAV1619’ took home ₹13,948 in bounty cash.
