Smartphone brand Redmi has announced that it will be launching its first gaming phone by the end of April 2021. The brand is a product of Xiaomi Corporation, a Chinese multinational electronic company. The Redmi brand is known for offering quality products at an affordable price. With the announcement of its first gaming smartphone, the brand is looking towards giving consumers a hardcore gaming experience with a cost-effective product.
Mobile gaming is a huge industry in India, with millions of people spending their time on playing games like Free Fire, Call of Duty, Clash of Clans etc. Through this flagship product the company emphasized that it is looking to create a gaming flagship for more players.
News of the launch was made via the Chinese social media platform Weibo. However, the company has not yet revealed the exact date of the launch and any other information apart from the fact that it will be out by April end. Launch dates of the phone on other markets have to also be announced.
To promote its flagship product, Redmi has also partnered with the popular Call of Duty: Mobile. According to Lu Weibing, General Manager of Redmi, the company is venturing into the mobile gaming scene to give customers—ultimate price-performance ratio. It was also highlighted that the smartphone would be the lightest and thinnest gaming product in the market.
There were also speculations that the new smartphone will have a Samsung E4 AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. Other features of the phone also include a 5,000 mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner on the side and a 65W fast charging support. This will allow for longer game time and a seamless playing experience.
