We have come to the end of yet another edition of Little Big Series (LBS) on Spartan Poker, where a total of 24 tournaments were hosted across 6 days. The whole idea of this series is to allow smaller or lower-stakes players to build a bankroll, buying in small and winning big.
Quite a few winners emerged throughout the duration of the series, the biggest being Ram Kakkar who won the Main Event yesterday on Day 6 of the series, while Vinay Choudhry continued his dominance, bagging his third title of the series. Read our complete summary of LBS Day 6 here…
INR 55 was the buy-in set for the first tournament of the final day of the series, with a total of 167 players comprising the playing field. Eventually, the top 27 places were paid out with the min-cash being INR 200. Bagging the title and the top prize of INR 4,430 from this field was ‘Piyush mahato’ who was delighted with this victory but preferred to stay anonymous. He beat ‘wcr185’ in heads-up, who won INR 2,990.
A slightly bigger guarantee and the tournament had a slightly higher buy-in of INR 165. Here, the competition was slightly tougher too but ‘Harsharya’ didn’t seem to think so as the player powered past 140 entries to bag the title and INR 13,950 in prize money. High card A was enough in the PFAI in the final hand as the player beat ‘Youraiseishove’ in heads-up, the latter taking away INR 9,450 as runner-up prize.
This Progressive KO tournament saw one of the higher buy-ins of the tournament, that of INR 550. Here, Vinay Choudhry aka ‘Your Truly’ didn’t have too much of hassle on his way to taking down the tournament, which also became his third title for the series. He added INR 25,160 to his poker bankroll as he beat ‘Laard Labakdas’ in heads-up. The runner-up was awarded INR 17,000 for his deep run after Choudhry’s pair of Jacks beat pocket Threes.
The best is always reserved for last and the same applies to LBS on Spartan Poker, where the Main Event was scheduled as the final tournament of the series, with a buy-in of INR 1,100. The winner turned out to be the known face of Ram Kakkar aka ‘TheLagLawyer’ who beat ‘TimeTraveller’ in heads-up to bag the top prize of INR 1,20,300. TimeTraveller had pocket Twos in the final hand combined with Fives on the board, but Kakkar’s Ace hit a pair and won with AA55, as the runner-up was awarded a decent prize of INR 79,980.
