Rajesh Shukla takes down Cool Leaderboard on Spartan

The Spartan Poker is known for hosting not just high-value tournaments and cash-rich series, but they are also known for hosting some really cool promotions. The coolest of these cool promotions would be none other than the Cool Leaderboard which takes place each month on Spartan.

The Hot and Cool Leaderboards have now both been discontinued by Spartan, but they were certainly fun while they lasted. All the mini or lite versions of Spartan featured tournaments count towards the Cool Leaderboard, with the most consistent in the month taking away the top prizes.

Rajesh Kumar Shukla aka ‘Narammasala’ has been having a brilliant run in online poker in recent times and it was only fitting that he was awarded victory in this leaderboard. Consistency pays off and Shukla was consistent indeed during the qualifying period of 1-31st October 2018.

He played 34 qualifying tournaments during this time and cashed in 13 of those, while also shipping one tournament – the 15k GTD Insomniac on 29th October. Let’s remember that Shukla has been doing well in the big tournaments as well, and winning leaderboards is nothing new to him, also winning the mega SSS Leaderboard earlier this month on Spartan.

In the Cool Leaderboard however, a total of INR 3 lakh was to be shared among the top 10 finishers and Shukla took away the biggest prize, finishing first for INR 1,20,000. His only competition through the month was ‘Ch0pUrNutZZ’ who finished 2nd for INR 60,000 while the others in the top 10 shared smaller prizes. Remember, Ch0pUrNutZZ won September’s Cool Leaderboard as well.

Gutshot caught up with Shukla after another online victory. We asked him about his great recent form, especially on Spartan. He said, “I had great fun and last month was fantastic. I won 2 leaderboards, with good cash on all platforms. I’m also hoping this run continues in November.”

Talking about the competition and promotions on Spartan in general, he said, “It feels very special and motivating to win tournaments with massive field size and reputed pros. I played my A games and also ran pure and lucky whenever needed at deep stages. The Spartan Poker has always been close to my heart. They have great value games and GTDs are crushing every day. Also, BigWin and other promotions launched by Spartan are amazing.”

On a parting note, he wanted to appreciate a friend, saying, “I also want to mention one of my very close friends Vinay Choudhry (‘Dhanraj Seth’). We regularly discuss our HH, spots and strategies to beat the game. He has been a great help.”
